I was just typing away at my computer, when the thought struck me if I was to work from home, when the smoking ban comes in, because I would be using my house as works premises would I no longer be allowed to smoke at home, even if I'm the only one working and living here?

I apologise for the title but I am just curious about the answer to that one question,
I do not want or need the high and mighty brigade lecturing me on my shoulds and should not's!

Any interference will be treated with short shrift* (whatever that means) so really I am asking for answers from smokers and the tolerant.

i would say you would end up getting a huge fine and have to sack yourself on the spot for gross misconduct and be escorted of the premisis

Quite seriously, I am wondering about this. My boss chain smokes cigars. He and his wife own the building we work in. Why should someone be able to tell him he can't smoke on his own premises? Perhaps we should move a bed into one of the offices so we can class it as a home?
