The congestion charge in London hasn't changed a thing. It's nothing to do with congestion, much more for raising money for Ken's glass palace. Since we live inside the congestion zone, we get a reduction of 90%, so it's only 80p a day instead of £8 (formerly £5). However, you have to register for the week, so move your car from one parking space to another, get caught on camera, and it's £4.
It isn't necessarily quicker, Garinda, to go by public transport, only by Tube. Then there is the high risk of getting stuck in a tunnel for at least 10 minutes along your journey. When I drove from Colliers Wood to Bloomsbury, it took me about 25 minutes except at rush hour. By tube, by the time I'd waited for one, it was about the same, with a good walk either end. And at least in the car I had a seat!! Buses are slower than private cars, because private cars can take quicker routes, and you can always use a different route if you get stuck. |

Stop moaning, there's congestion when driving and even if your not in a car, what next? start moaning about queing up at the cash point or the check out at the supermarket? blame the goverment for that?
