A pre-nup way not be valid here but if it had been me I would have found a way to protect mine. His kids were not to keen on her so were they inheritance watching? Did his kids not want him to marry again out of selfishness because of their mother? Heather may not have had it easy as she wanted and found it hard to be accepted so what was the final straw then? Another example of how money is no gaurentee of happiness no mater how hard you try.

I, like most others, do not give a damn about the post-marital nuptials of some millionaire scouser and his one-legged gold-digging ex-wife. Once again, may I call upon the moderators/administrators to please open a section called "Rubbish", where threads such as this and the 'Big Brother House' nonsense can be dumped, safely away from civilised eyes such as mine.

One person's rubbish is another person's treasure Tealeaf. Whatever happened to tolerance?

Pre-nups are not binding on English courts, but they will be upheld by the court provided certain criteria are fulfilled. Each party must have independent legal advice. No pressure must be put upon either party by the other. It must be signed well in advance of the marriage. However, once there are children, pre-nups don't stick, unless the pre-up contains specific provisions.

I don't feel sorry for HM (as apparently her associates call her 'cos she thinks she's the Queen) - she knew what she was getting into, if you marry a high profile man, you can't complain later about his being famous.

I have no doubt, Rindy, that you are on first name terms with Macca & "Hop-Scotch" Heather; however, that experiance is thankfully denied to most people who post on here. For the most part, those same people will do their shopping in the likes of ASDA or Tesco, and as such my question concerned whether or not they were prepared to encounter sex toys in the aisles. A very pertinent question I think, unlike this nonsense from a third-rate gossip column.

Although brought to attention through a celebrity couple, I did ask for comment if any one here has signed a pre-nup, or if they thought it was the last word in being an unromantic sod.

Weddings are still quite popular up here in our part of the world, hence it is topical, as can be seen by the people who did take the trouble to post constructive comments.

Unless you are in despeartely need of a dose of syrup of figs I forgive your churlishness and look forward to reading your next thread starter.:).

Do you seriously think that anyone around Accy has the funds available to hire legal council in order to draw up a pre-nup agreement? You really do need to get back to reality.

I don't know that's why I asked, but since there are quite a lot of properties in Hyndburn currently for sale priced over half a million quid I wouldn't be suprised. Plus I didn't know this forum was just for people in Accy, I was under the illusion we had posters as far away as Burnley, London and Australia.

Stop being so querulous, why don't you open up a little and share with the group?

Surely you must have had some old scrubbers after you in your time? They must have been after your money, as I can see little other attraction.:D
