|
Re: If I won the lotto
Actually, there's no chance of me winning the lottery - I don't buy a ticket!
|
Re: If I won the lotto
Get a life with less work and more fun. That and buy some simple odds and ends. :D

Re: If I won the lotto
I won a tenner last week but I invested it wisely, in fact in spending the winnings I put more value on my car, £10 worth of petrol.

Re: If I won the lotto
Just talking about this at work today funnily enough.
If I won the Lotto it would mean that i did it for a start which would be something new, I'd buy my beloved a I a nice house in the country with a seperate annexe for my mum as she lives on her own and is knocking on a bit now. That'd be about it to be honest as my life is pretty much how I want it already so I'd carry on doing the things I enjoy now only put more time, effort and money into doing them. I would carry on working but it'd have to be hours to suit me and it'd be with animals rather than people. |
Re: If I won the lotto
Sort out my Children with enough cash to buy homes and furnish it. Invest some for the Grandchildren and full fill my dream to go to America taking the Children and grandchildren with us of course.

Re: If I won the lotto
I suspect there would be a lot like you Anne....looking after the kids and the grandkids.......goodonya.....:)

Re: If I won the lotto
Hmmmm.....If I won a decent amount I would only work wednesdays and thursdays, from 10am until 2pm with an hour for lunch..:D I would buy a holiday cottage in the Lakes and make sure that my family were ok. I would also travel a lot more.....I know I travel a fair amount now, but it is my hobby and I am constantly saving up. It would be nice to travel without having to save first.

Re: If I won the lotto
Being retired and pushing 70 a Lottery win, and my chances of such a win are from nil to minus a lot because I don’t buy any of the tickets, would be of no real use to me. My flat may be a long way from a palace but it does me. I am warm, dry, not starving and I always have a few quid left over come pension day.
I have no aspirations to lead the high life so if I won the Lottery I would declare that the winning ticket belonged to a syndicate made up of adult family members, excluding me, thus avoiding any taxes because of gifts. An adult family member would be a blood line but not their spouse or partner. I would expect each adult family member to hold £1,000 on my behalf to enable me to replace any appliance that dies and new clothes as they wear out or cash upon request. Each adult family member would have one share in the winnings with extra shares for those who had dependants. Thus if one of my adult family members had three children s/he would have four shares. |
Re: If I won the lotto
I can't fault you on that jb, not one bit.

Re: If I won the lotto
I would set my children up, of course, and set up a trust for my grandchildren so that they are well educated and never have to worry. I would buy a house in London rather than a flat, so that I could have more friends to stay more often, and have a bigger table to have more friends sitting round. I would love to travel more, I have a list of places I want to see before I die - always wanted to go across the Sahara, even have the route worked out, but not sure if health would permit any more. I would also be able to help out friends who are struggling, just give them a hand when they need it, not a handout. And of course - the big Accyweb party, with champagne flowing (and beer, of course) and party bags for everybody! Oh, and I'd give up the day job and just do voluntary work!

Re: If I won the lotto
I'd spend it all on wine, women and song...........the rest I'd just squander
|
Re: If I won the lotto
i dont think i wud want to tell many people
there wud b too much jealousy in my relatives let alone general people.. that lotto lout guy was sayin how the ira wanted some of his cash... just not worth declaring ur win really |
Re: If I won the lotto
I would hide mine under the floorboards.......:)
|
Re: If I won the lotto
If I won the Lotto, I would make sure all my Immediate family where comfortable............( yes you guessed it I'd buy them all a easy chair each):D
I would travel all over the place, and I would make sure that my children had enough money when I am gone. I would also set up a couple of huge farms that takes in stray dogs and cats so that they don't have to be put down just because no-one wants them. |
Re: If I won the lotto
Seems like most of us would look after our kids first.....and then leave a little bit for ourselves.......and that,s as it should be.......
|
Re: If I won the lotto
I would buy a nice house in the country, not decided which country though, certainly not Britain. Then I would make sure the kids are taken care of...anyone know any hit men ....(only joking) and also invest in some for the grandkids and great grandchild.
