Hot sticky Nights
 

Im sweating cobs here again & out of interest looked on my lounge temperature gage its about 20C/70F in here alone!!!!:eek: Its like being abroad with no air con lol & its even warmer upstairs so big fan is on full trying to keep all bedrooms cooler:cool:

LOL GC i've just been up to put washing away & its so stuffy despite windows open least ossilating fan on full is cooling it down - last night was really warm too.

Ssshhh :D its a very sweaty night winge we're having:p notice no complaints during the day despite burning myself to a cinder in Tinks sun trap ozone layer free hole garden blistering litterally last week in the cloud coverage & still burned but im not wishing it away:D

Eventually the blisters have just gone today & ready for peeling:D

Oh yeh summer beats winter anytime cos i hate cold & i winge more about that lol:o The sun shinning is so much more uplifting get you out of the house whereas winter is miserable.

Just if im cold at night its sorted with eleccy blanket - toasty but findin a way of cooling down on a hot night is a bit tricky the uncomfortableness being really sweaty & waking trying to get comfy cooler:D

Oh dear, take care .... get out the exfoliater and lots and lots and lots of moisturiser ... should do the trick. Put on a little fake tan too, to help the red bits glow a bit more, :cool:

Cheers Kate its all fun of the sun lol:D im plastered in extra moisture after sun & exfoliation isnt a prob it comes off in big layers lol:D

Im that white & get very red all i need is the middle strip of my body done to match the arms & shoulders & i'll be my own walking St Georges flag for England hehehehe:D :D

its bad news at night this warm, what i don't get though its hotter in spain but not as unbearable? must be the humidity or summat. see men can winge as well-but i concede not as good as the women.:D

That's very true Cash. It's hot here at the moment, feels more like August than June. Some folk are having a moan but I rarely find it uncomfortable. It begs the question...........why move to Tenerife if you don't like hot? Nowt so queer as folk.

I find the best way is to leave bedroom curtains/door/window shut during day, then open the window once it starts to cool down outside, but leave door closed.

This way you dont fill the room with warm air from outside/rest of house and it tends to be nice and cool by the time you go to bed after you open the window at about 10 :D

It's definitely the humidity. We were in Malta week before last and just before we got there they'd had a heatwave of 37C. The day we got there was a "cold" 27C and people were grumbling about it being chilly! It got hotter but never felt uncomfortable because it just isn't humid and sticky like here.

As soon as we got back to Manchester airport the heavyness of the atmosphere hit us.

I realise that I feel far more tired here in summer than I do in hotter places which are also dryer.

I can't understand people moaning about the heat in Tenerife either Junetta if they have chosen to move there. I'd swap that for Accy winters and sticky summers any day. It's like the people who move to the countryside from cities and then complain about cocks crowing and sheep baa-ing!

You must have sent the grey skies and rain over here to Canada. Just spent a week in Nova Scotia and there was just one afternoon when the sun came out.

Oh dear u can blame me lol:o Ive even sent cloud to Accy this morning although there was a nice brief thunderstorm before 8am albeit short & its still very muggy & heavy out there despite no sun:cool:

It was hot sticky and wet last night.

Mainly due to the rain that blew through the open window and onto my bed.

I was so happy this morning when I remembered the downpour in the middle of night, and that I haven't suddenly become incontinent.:D

I might have been cooler last night if I had`nt cycled from Grindleton to Accy last night. I tried bathing my feet in cold water, which seemed to help. By the way, how did the Ossy walk go in that heat?

I think we are lucky up here. It reached thirty degrees in London today. Pendy, rather than swealtering in Bloomsbury, was seen sipping a Pims sat in the Ossy sunshine.;)

When I lived down there summer could be awful. London's in a bowl and the sky goes a horrid pale yellow. By the time you get off the tube in the morning you're wet through, that's if you haven't passed out by strap hanging next to someone with the B.O. from hell.

there was a downpour in harwood to so I can't see it getting ossy and harwood and missing out clayton katex.... I had to go up to the loft bedroom to shut the window as the lads had it wide open and it was raining in!!!!!

So it was you was it !!!

Set off this morning for Bristol putting on my lovely flowing white skirt and stripey black and white Jane Norman top .. casting aside all business suits 'cause they too hot you understand.

Time I got to destination was absolutely 'p*ssing' it down :( Didn't quite fit in, you understand. Trailed through puddles in my open strappy black shoes, decided umbrella to save hair-do was best option and blow the important papers, which turned to pulp. Good job buyer was young (handsome) and modern open-necked shirt !! Signed contract, so OK ;) Would deduct Karma if you hadn't kindly given some to me earlier.

That's England I suppose and why we always pack too much for holidays, eh ??

And to make matters worse, just burnt me garlic bread in my 'lean fat grillling machin 'cause of this reply. :(
