All fantastic ideas, thanks. I've sorted out the application forms for the lottery bid and I'm just waiting for my friendly local MP to sign them they it will be about eight weeks before I know if I've got the money to do what I want to do.

I'll keep you posted.

You'll have to keep us posted......Mutti likes the Civic Theatre and I am sure i could 'persuade' her to come along with me to a couple of the plays.

Well, just shows the power of this website - I have just been contacted by the Lancs Eve Tel for more information about this.

So, there may be an article about it in tomorrow's paper. Suppose I'd better make sure it happens now, hadn't I?

Tealeaf that would be a brilliant choice, I've seen it three times UNFORTUNATELY it's not available to amateur societies as it's still on in the West End after 17 years and does sporadic tours.

Gayle,

This sounds a great idea but then you knew I'd say that.

Was actually thinking of bringing in professional touring groups rather than amateur societies - I couldn't get enough of them interested in doing a drama festival/competition last time I tried to get if off the ground.

I think it's both actually but the more well known version is a musical.

I could help arrange something with the Accrington Theatre Group? I think it would be a good idea having all the local ameture societies come together for a week of shows..

Sounds great :D

When I tried to get this off the ground six months ago I only got three amateur groups who expressed an interested. Well, three and a half because one group were keen to do a one act play.

I don't want to rule anything out right now and I don't want to sound like I'm dismissing your idea morgan_brotherz but right now I'm aiming for six professional plays for this event.
