Yes, and may the survivors find solace...and the relatives find support.
It is a very sad day. Hard to believe we are one year on from that terrible tragedy.

Such a beautiful, bubbly looking set of our British people, what a loss to our Nation.

Best statement I have noted today is the heading in the Observer by the father of Marie Hartley "I could never forgive them". No neither could I, sir, if it had been one of my children.

How that guy in Enniskillen say he could beggars belief.

At work we had a 2 min silence signaled by the fire alarm. Most observed it but it did cause some confusion amongst the kitchen staff who didnt have a clue it was happening.

Re: Let us remember...

We also observed the 2 minute silence;we emptied the shop, turned off the music and politely informed customers of what was happening;sadly the idea didn't filter thru to the crazed shoppers on Broadway who carried on their merry way talking and seemingly oblivious ! I find it astonishing that these people show such little respect, especially as we lost one of "our Own" in Marie Hartley.Maybe we need a public address system or some warning from the town hall;I know there is an announcement made in the Arndale but nothing outside.Surely everyone was aware of what was going on ???

Part of the service from Regent's park was on the news tonight, and it was so touching. Two young women did beautiful readings.......I didn't need the spray for my ironing......my tears moistened the clothes.

Re: Let us remember...

i must confess the 2 min silence had started and i was one walking as lindsey sa ys oblivious, it was not through lack of respect, it was simply preoccupied and totally forgot, i stopped as soon as i realised and observed the rest of the 2mins, you should remember lindsay things happen without warning on a daily basis which puts your mind elsewhere.:(

dont come down hard on those who didnt observe the 2 min silence even i thought it was only done for those who fought in the wars on the 11 november

i didnt hear about it until it was mentioned after on the news , mind you i dont recall 2 mins nationwide silence for all those killed in IRA bombs either

i didnt mention manchester ?

21 civilians were killed in bomb attacks on two public houses in Birmingham. The Irish Republican Army (IRA) was responsible for the bombings

thats just 1 example

my point was that we dont usualy hold 2 mins silence for bomb attacks so it is excusable if people didnt know about it and didnt adhear to it ;)

Actualy Chav, that was my point in Ireland with a bomb in Enniskillen, when a father publicly forgave the bombers and for killing his daughter in the process, how can you possible forgive ??

some people cope better and find forgiving the bombers helps them find peace but i do feel sorry for the victims of the london bombings it must be hard to get any peace or normality when reminders are constantly splashed across the news papers and the television

my personal opinion is that we dont need constantly reminding of teh dangers out there and what happened wont be forgotten especialy by the people effected by what happened so why continuously drag it up again and again , i certainly wouldnt want to see my family members face still been splashed on tv and the news papers a year later , i would hope after a year that things were not forgotton because you could never forget but a little easier to cope with
