Have only been a member here for a matter of months......but have never seen the level of hate that is currently doing the rounds...When it upsets even the most prolific poster..one wonders what it does to new people just joined..........:( ....can,t we all get on with each other.....????

The trouble is talentedbutslow that everyone is entitled to their own opinion about anything at all but some people seem to think that their view is the right one and others should accept it.

I'm just answering a question, and no it hasn't been and gone, I've been subjected to a hate campaign for months, i've lost over 200 karma, luckily nice people give it back, but people who don't agree with it and say that they don't on here also get karma took. Cyfr is one, willow another. There is hate on here, I'm resigned to the fact now, I'm still not going to leave, and I'll post as much crapety crap posts as is necessary. So there. :D

I've had some right old ding-dongs on here with people and will continue to do so if I believe in something strongly, but I hate absolutely no one on here.
Hate is a very self destructive emotion for anyone to carry. Do you really see hate on this site Tal? That's quiet sad.:( |

I must say I've not seen much hate either, good healthy discussion from time to time yes, hate, nope. Neg karma implies taht someone didn't like th at one post that you sent, not that they hate you in totality.

I think that sometimes threads can get a bit......erm, terse, but then it mirrors how we sometimes are in the real world. You have bad days and someone will get the sharp side of your tongue.....but it doesn't usually last long....and I don't really think there is any malice behind it.
The site is so diverse and so you are not going to get everyone to agree with everything....that is what makes it interesting. |

I agree Margaret, in fact I was moaning a few weeks ago because no one did argue with me anymore. Either I'm becoming less controversial or everyone's sort of accepted the sort of arts stuff that i do.

I have just read all 4 pages of this thread and am still confused, surely the word Karma signifies what comes around goes around, give bad karma it comes back at you and like wise good, we all have to get along, that doesnt me we have to agree, it would be a boring world if we all thought the same way about things

cant the mods or roy take karma access away from people who abuse it.. anyone caught leaving disgusting messages or signing other peoples names or doing it to wind peple up (like i do hehe) then why not DISABLE karma rights for that poster..

Wynonie Harris how well you read me I was a hippy back in the 70s,I love you taste in music by the way, reminds me of my days or should I say nights misspent in london's jaz clubs and dives. And yes I am a soft southerner who has moved North. I think you created "Its grim up north" to keep us out, its the greatest place on earth and I wouldn't go back now even to visit.

However, that's quite enough of that namby pamby, touchy feely, hippy dippy, soft Southern stuff. thanks Wynonie, Ok bears have teeth and claws, and aren't always soft and cuddly, :mad: so I'll give it a go, I could probably manage a baby's head but I couldnt eat a whole one!( sorry very old joke) I have always liked bitter, I cant stand any drink they shove lime or bits of fruit in. When we lived in Cornwall we used to drink the local home made cider, you could strip paint with that.

Well, I know you southerners are more used to rocket salads lightly drizzled with virgin olive oil, but I'm sure you could manage a baby's head. I usually eat two of 'em with chips, peas and gravy when I go up the chippy. I don't think Holland's are making them quite as big as they used to - reckon the suet crusts aren't quite as thick.
I like the sound of home made cider, though. I'll have a scout round for that next time I go to Hereford. |

hereford! you can't get cornwall cider in hereford. it's 3 hours further on. One of the idiots of the forum down here, pastitpete has moved to lizard point todbear, it runs the tea rooms.

Well what's Hereford famous for (apart from unnatural practices with sheep)? And since it is the cider-making capital of the country, I'm sure there's some enterprsing person making the home-made stuff somewhere. Never mind, maybe I'll find some when I go to Torquay.

I cant drive never learned, but after a pint of somerset scrumpy I cant stand, so even getting to a car would be a problem.
Had my first chip butty the other week, mmmm that was good, they didn't do babies heads though, I shall shop around. |

...well, if you're cooking them from scratch, they need to be steamed for about 5 hours. topping the pan up with water regularly, of course, so it doesn't boil dry...think you might be best buying 'em from your friendly, neighbourhood chippy, though. Getting that suet crust right can be a real sod!

I don’t know if this still holds good for today, but there was a time when down in ‘Scrumpyland’ a pub landlord would only sell a pint of the golden liquid to the locals. Anyone else could only buy halves.

I dunno...when I was in Hereford for the Stanley game a few months back I popped into a back street boozer I had not been in for 20-odd years. I actually recognised one the old locals in there..anyway, I ordered and got a pint of scrumpy, served up from the poly pin. Still as good has I remember.

Anyway, the pub is the "Victory" on Owen street (its quite central)...there is also another pub I popped in, called the Barrel (or maybe Barrels?????). The cider the locals like is Thatchers, but there are quite a few farmhouse producers which "guest".

there are concrete cows though.mk is the perfect exapmle of the planners and councilors ideas and ideals of what they think we want and therefore should have.
It has more roundabouts than any other town in the world. it has hundreds of them, and they produce a calendat each year with th favourites on. |

According to a ground guide I've just been reading, the away fans' pub at MK Dons is somewhere called "Shout" which is above the bus station and a night club type place. Sounds dire, but very much in keeping with the general ambience of Milton Keynes.

got some good entertainment and facilities there though they've got that floating on air in a tank thing, real ski slope, bowling cinemas, night clubs, NICE parks, it's always been clean and tidy when I've been, they've got the bowl, although that needs major work in my opinion. There's a quad course by the motorway to, a really long one, I'd love to have a go on that.
