Tales of King Commute
I worked on the Ribbles buses for several years in the eighties, so here I will post some of my witty (well I think they are! ;D) observations, occurances and acts of stupidity that happened then.
I had just passed my P.S.V. test and was given a place on the work roster (these are masses of work sheets numbered by week covering half a wall), finding these hard to decifer from sanscript to english I noticed that they all ended up saying UFN, not thinking, I asked another driver what UFN stood for, to which he replied "you f***ing know", without cojoining a single brain cell I replied "it can't be that would be UFK", he walked off and it still took several hours for the penny to drop. ??? |
Re: Tales of King Commute
Doubt if that will be understood by a lot of our regular posters.

Re: Tales of King Commute
I'm mystified. I know what UFO means. That's it, really.

I thought Ribble was a character in Fimbles. Here she is on the right with Bessie (her mummy, apparently!)

A phrase that is used when an official hates you and cannot be bothered to answer your question ie out of the office until further notice thats my take on it.

I can name all of the characters in The Fimbles and the Tweenies. We never allowed Teletubbies on in the house, so I don't know all the characters in there, which can only be a good thing...! |
