Shoe fetish!
 

I was at a friends the other day and she was admiring my shoes. She wouldn't believe me when I told her that it was my one and only 'high' shoe. I have two pairs of shoes, one with heels and one flat (both black), two pairs of boots, one with heels and one flat (both black), one pair of sandals (black) and a pair of trainers (grey). I'm not very adventurous on the shoe front and absolutely hate shopping for them.

She did a quick tot up of her footwear and stopped counting at fifty.

So, which one of us is the norm? How many items of footwear do you have?

2 pair shoes 2 pair boots 1 pai of gutties.

Did not include my 2 pair of work boots as they are for work only.

Well I take size 9 so only have about 6 pairs and a few of them are 'blokey' so not sure they count. My sister has a separate wardrobe for all hers so maybe it is the norm to have over 50.....to best honest the choice would stress me out!

havent counted in a while but i tend to stick to basics ...but i know ive got shoes in bottom of wardrobe that ive barely worn

Two pairs of Converse sneakers, one manky for cycling one good
One pair trainers brand new
One pair wet weather cycling trainers

One pair tatty slip on things that double as slippers

Ive got about 7 pairs, 3 out of the 7 get a wearing & the rest gathers dust.

Thing is i find it hard to find a nice pair of shoes that suit my flippers & dont rip into my skin or cause serious blistering, i dont like most of the shoes that are in the shops for women & if i do find the odd pair they get a wear once after putting my feet through hell!! I had my favourite boots put in the bin as i couldnt get them re-healed i was gutted & cant get another pair:(

Well it all boils down to money or the lack of it.
I own 1 pair slingback shoes. 1 pair pink mules. 1 pair blue sandals. 1 pair slippers and 1 pair trainers.

My fetish is more boots than shoes. I have boots in most colours you can think of. :o

As a child I lived in £1.99 Baseball boots from Walco. Now I just find something cheap enough that I like, buy two pairs and throw one lot in the wardrobe for later use.

One pair of black shoes for everyday use.
One pair of black shoes as emergency spare in case the other pair become unusable. Imagine having to go shopping for a pair of shoes in my slippers.
One pair of slippers for everyday use.
One pair of slippers to take to the hospital with me if ever I am called upon to go. I haven’t had to go to stay for a few years now so the magic of the spare slippers is working.

I have a Zulu ‘juju elephant stick’ that works in a similar manner. Ever since I brought it home for South Africa I have been free of marauding elephants trampling through my garden.

well im one of them ive got one pair i have never worn because they are to high for me and i only bought them cus the pair of jeans i bought were too long , haha gave up on both in end heehee

:rolleyes: Gayle, hmmmmm, us girls that have a fella that comes on accyweb couldn't possibly mention EVERY pair of shoes we have, or the next time I say I need a new pair of shoes to go with a new outfit, will just get a raised eyebrow and I would have to hold you personally responsible ;)

Not excessive i know.....but i have 250 handbags to choose from to go with the shoes,my fetish used to be handbags but don't buy them now-bought them all before Jack came along so had the money to buy excessively then.

I tend to live in flip-flops and have four pairs of those. Two pairs of strappy sandels for evenings (one black, one white). A pair of trainers which I hardly wear. Fluffy slippers for winter when the floor tiles are cold and my bowling shoes.

Gosh, in another thread I had kinda made a cut about women and their shoes. Then I started counting . . . okay, first, I rarely throw shoes away . . . second, I have alot of different "hats" (jobs), third . . . okay no more excuses here my 2 cents:

4 Google Page Ranking. Timberland Workboots, 1 Google Page Ranking. hunting boots, 1 Google Page Ranking. muckers, 4 Google Page Ranking. dress shoes, 2 Google Page Ranking. nice sneakers, 2 Google Page Ranking. old sneakers (for walking in the streams), 1 Google Page Ranking. moccasins , and a pair of baseball cleats. Oh yeah, stuff in the back of my closet are a couple of pairs of cowboy boots!

That's 16 pairs, . . dag, it makes me look like I'm some kind of girlie man eh? I did say I never throw shoes away right? Okay, at least I don't own any slippers!:p

I have estimated between 11-25, but it is possibly more because I haven't actually counted them. I have recently recycled about 8 pairs but I reckon that I'm still somewhere near the 25 mark. I love shoes and would love to splash out on a really expensive pair of Jimmy Choo's but....... I have wide, ugly feet and cannot wear heels so I console myself with just skenning in the shop window. :D

ok here goes:
5 pairs boots - 1 walking, 1 flat, 1 steel toe caps, 2 high heels
3 pairs trainers - 1 new, 2 well & truly done in
3 pairs canvas shoes
1pr red shoes - worn twice and bought 2 yrs ago
3pr black shoes - various heights
1pr slippers - mum bought them me and wore them only twice.
But i live in trainers - mainly because where i used to work i wore jeans all the time for work and trainers were the best footwear i could wear going out in the workshop all the time. Then when i got a new job i still wore jeans and going out in a fitting shop all the time it was safer wearing trainers until they bought me steel toe capped boots. But now work in a sports centre and trainers are part of the uniform to go with trakkie bottoms & tshirt.

I've got at least 5 pairs of shoes I've only worn once. Nature, sadly, endowed me with enlarged toe joints - bunions (but not the swollen "squishy" type). I had them as a child but I didn't help matters by always wearing 4" stilettos from age about 17 to 30.

I buy some shoes and they hurt like hell so I don't wear them twice. I also have some that do get an airing every now and then and I have others that get worn constantly. I reckon I have about 25 pairs, some of them absolutely in pristine condition and some definitely heading for the shabby side.

P.S. Our cat has a shoe-fetish. She rolls on them, drools on them and cuddles them. I think she was Imelda Marcos in a previous life.

Mrs Silver has in the region of 80 pairs of all descriptions & this has put untold strain on our relationship over the years as iv'e found them hiding in wardrobe & under beds.I've fallen over them,she's fallen off them,but still her love affair with shoes continues.It's always the same...."do you like these?They only cost....." I've not voted I reckon I have between 26 and 50 pairs, 10 pairs of boots long, short, riding, walking then the rest are shoes/sandals flat, heel wedge you get the picture. I do like shoes haven't bought any for ages though, got a thing for handbags too.
