Doodles

There are people who analyse doodles ... I know when I am angry I tend to draw sort of chevrons one on top of each other that grow smaller and smaller until they become a long bending arrow. When I am feeling happy I start off with a petal and add them on top of each other until they become wider and wider.

A lady I used to work with used to draw a spider's web in the corner of her pad with resident hanging down when she was feeling angry; just found the same doodle on my jotter pad that has been done by grandaughter .. wondered if she needs a bit of therapy ?

You do owt regular like this ?

I always doodled long lines of waves for some reason when I could hold a pen, a bit like Hokusai's wave prints in Blackburn museum....now I'm more into my abstract expressionist period, a bit like Jackson Pollock.:D

I do sort of squirly things but also some intricate patterns which are hard to explain. I used to draw drops.

Re: Doodles

I always doodle in meetings, I'm one of those people who finds it difficult to sit still for any period of time, I always have to be fiddling with something. My mobiles are normally worn out by the time I get to the end of the contract from me messing with them.

COCKS!!! .... Loads of 'em!!! :D ............. Then I usually doodle some hens to keep them happy ;)

I used to do my notes through lectures at college then have to come home an re-write them  It was an absolute pain but I can't stop!!

I'm a spider doodler too, same sort of thing, start at corner of the page then the web gets bigger and bigger then someone has to live in it so I doodle a little Boris with cute little eyes. #

I also am terrible for doodleing cubes  dunno why!! Silly little faces with different expressions are a favourite too.

If you find a good therapist for your grandaughter please let me have his number Kate :o

I used to draw a squiggly line that crossed over and over itself and then joined up the two ends. I'd then colour in the spaces so that no two coloured spaces shared an edge.

Find it really strange that I now know 3 people who have never met who do the spider thing .. think there is some sort of genetic link-up? Maybe Darwin got it wrong and we are descended from insects  must be an explanation.

As for the cubes, reckon your family tree probably includes Pythagoras, and you the black sheep of the link, i.e. putting silly faces on them, sort of mathematics yob. :D

I remember watching a TV programme ages ago about this and apparently cubes and boxes mean that you have some sort of pressure in your life and you are feeling caged and boxed in.

Re: Doodles

I don't doodle so much these days but when I do It's hearts, flowers, boxes and squiggly patterns.
I liked to then colour in the patterns with different patterns and some times i would put a pattern inside instead of a block of colour.
