Maybe of interest to folks of a certain age , I just came across this obit for Jenifer Moss the actress who played Lucille Hewitt in the early days of Coronation st. Hard to imagine 60 pound a week being a big wage, since it doesn't seem so long ago .

Before my time, but my parents once met her in a pub in Knuzden, in the hay day of her fame, and said she was very nice.

Very sad. If her life was written as a soap script people would say it was 'far fetched'.

It's a shame she led such a sad life. I used to think she was brilliant in corrie. Ah, those were the days.

Makes you wonder what it’s all about. She had opportunity and financial security yet happiness never seems to have found her….I remember her from the old Black & White days. God bless, I’m sure you have now found your happiness in a better world.

Jenifer Moss was in it right at the start,she was only a young girl and the fame caught up with her ,,,she went on drugs and it ruined her life ,,,
