Lesson learnt - better the devil you know!
Has anyone else been tempted to change their energy/phone/internet/TV supplier with too good to be true special offers and savings, only to realise that you were actually better off sticking with your old supplier?
Last year I was fooled into changing my gas & electricity supply by a door-to-door salesman only to end up paying 2 suppliers for gas for 2 months, and then when that was sorted, within 6 months my bills suddenly shot up. They soon sorted the problem out when I complained to Energywatch and my bill is back to normal-ish now. Lesson learnt? No not yet, not until last month when I decided to swap Sky/BT for the NTL 3 for £30 package. I had no problems with either Sky or BT but I was lured by the price of NTL....big mistake, I had nothing but problems with all 3 services and within a week I was groveling on the phone to my old suppliers to take me back. Lesson learnt? Absolutey, I'm never changing suppliers again!!!! Has anyone else had similar problems?? |

I don't know if we're being ripped off but our energy bills seem ludicrously high.

Hi Willow - you'd have thought we had a 5 bed mansion with the cost of our energy. I would recommend filling out a complaint form on www.energywatch.org.uk if you think you're being ripped off. They contacted my supplier & they re-evaluted my bills.

Thanks I'll look into that. We blame the kids for leaving lights on all over the house!
