Re: pound land

Bigger & neater, and doesn't smell weird like the other shop.

Basically the same old stuff though.

Some of the stuff they are selling for a pound you can get cheaper in Home & Bargain.

Re: pound land

Went in on Mon when I went shopping. It's a brill place most things real good value for money. Quite a lot of branded names too. The only snag is you end up spending a fortune if your not carefull. Be good for xmas prezzies.
Once Wilkinsons opens I wont miss Preston as much for shopping any more.

Re: pound land

walked past wilkinsons this morning and so the adverts on the side of the window looks like a supermarket if so wont it make it difficult when loaded with shopping to get to your car or taxi as you cannot park anywhere near the shop.

ANNE 25-09-2003 14:18

Re: pound land

Could be worse Janet, you could have to get the bus.

Caz 25-09-2003 14:21

Re: pound land

It's not a supermarket Janet. They do usually have trolleys in their stores though, which is handy if you get carried away!

Went in the  one in Blackpool and though it was very good, large range of stuff, so when I found out they were opening here I thought it was brill.  :)

janet 25-09-2003 14:55

Re: pound land

thought it was cazzer, have a look at the side window next time you walk past. shows a shopping trolley loaded with food. unless it was wishful thinking on my part. ???

Gives you an idea of what they sell too.

Re: pound land

;D  Went in the new JJB yeaterday for some comfy pants to travel in. The ones I liked, the only had in sizes small and large. I am neither small or large, a fellow shopper advised me to try Winfields. Found it odd that they couldn't supply all the relevant sizes when they have only just opened. Will try again next week. ::)
