I'M going to say if you must do it. Then do it SAFELY!
DON'T GIVE ANY ONE YOUR ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER AND NEVER ARRANGE TO MEET ANYONE NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY WANT YOU TO OR WHAT EVER THEY OFFER.
BEWARE!!!!!!
Same advice can be take by Adults too you can never be to carefull these days arrange to meet in a public place and never swap personal details. Till your sure of the person.

Kids shouldn't be involved in forums full stop.

I won't let my kids give anyone an email address unless I know who it is.

I won't let them have their computer in their bedroom for the same reason.

When they are on the Internet I am there.

And the thought that they would even contemplate meeting up with anyone they had contacted through the Internet  disturbs me greatly.
