Email to all members.. What do you think?
 

I'm thinking of sending an email out to all members of this forum just updating on all the features and to remind some of our original users to come back and have a look. I have done it once when the forum had about 70 members and it did bring some people back, so it does work. What I'd like to know is what do you think about it? Would this make me a dreaded "spammer" sending out to over 450 people at once? How would you feel if you recieved the reminder? Bear(or bare?) in mind that there would be nothing in the email with a commercial base and this is a non-profit website.

Ya should ahve it in the terms we agree to that you can email us now and then..

You could always add it now and no one wuld know cus I would be amazed if anyone read em :)

SPAM is commercial email thats unsolicited.. wether you send it to one person or 400 doesnt make a difference.. unsolicted email for gain is SPAM As far as I know so yer OK I guess as ya dont gain:)

I think it's a good idea, but i would just send it out to people who have not been in touch for the last month. people who use site regular dont need e-mailing.

Perhaps you could add a box in the profiles asking if members would lie to be e-mailed on a fortnightly or monthly basis.

Tee Hee I do try to take no notice of him Dave. He's right about one thing though we communicate better on here. :)
Don't have Domestics any more. He just sulks for Months.  ::)
