Twin town
 

I'm not aware that we are twinned with anywhere so how about the following, both famous towns, ours for football theirs for all round sayings.

If it was up to PB to pick a town to be twined with we would be waiting for ever so if it was a footy daft town then I am sure they can find one in South America that will be perfect. :D

Twin towns sap council tax and just give councillors a free holiday, Joe publics gets sod all out of em.

Weren't we twinned with some friggin french town in the 70s? I seem to remember the council spending loads of money on some trips and them coming here with cheese and wine, loads of froggies all over the place.

Rossendale is twinned with Bocholt in Germany. They come over here and people go over there. Every year kids from one of the high schools do an exchange visit with kids over there. Everyone has a good time. My sis went once on the visit.

bocholt tree says it all, bloomin ugly mess. totally covered with cheap christmas decorations all year round.

No it isnt - it gets decorated by people celebrating birthdays etc or an artist does it. Its a focal point in Rawtenstall and also a talking point. You leave bocholt tree alone!
