Saint Georges Day
St Georges day will soon be upon us. If its anything like previous years in Accy it will go unoticed :(
Anyone know of anything going on in the area? 23rd of April for the uneducated :) |
Re: Saint Georges Day
It'll probably be the same as usual mate. most people seem to think that St Patrick is our patron saint.

Re: Saint Georges Day
What is the point of celebrating a Saints day ??
|
Re: Saint Georges Day
Your not exactly celebrating the saint. More the country you where born in. You could ask why celebrate crimbo or why celebrate a birthday or annivesary.
Any fool can be british or european. You have to be born English. I am glad I was for many reasons and I like others would like to celebrate it. jus like other countries celebrate theres. Unfortunatly England don't go for it the same as the Irish or Scots or anyone else. |

Re: Saint Georges Day
hi
i agree with you, people say whats the point? but i think we should celebrate it with pride, we celebrate saint patricksday and we're english, so why don't we show the same pride for our own saint? |
Re: Saint Georges Day
I don't celebrate st patricks day and don't know any englishman that does.. do some of you celebrate it and not st georges. seriously? I would find that suprising

Re: Saint Georges Day
i don't personally but i know people that do, its just a good excuse for getting hammered for some people, but i think any the irish should celebrate it
|
