Saint Georges Day
 
St Georges day will soon be upon us. If its anything like previous years in Accy it will go unoticed :(

Anyone know of anything going on in the area?

23rd of April for the uneducated :)

It'll probably be the same as usual mate. most people seem to think that St Patrick is our patron saint.

Your not exactly celebrating the saint. More the country you where born in.  You could ask why celebrate crimbo or why celebrate a birthday or annivesary.  

Any fool can be british or european. You have to be born English. I am glad I was for many reasons and I like others would like to celebrate it. jus like other countries celebrate theres. Unfortunatly England don't go for it the same as the Irish or Scots or anyone else.

hi

i agree with you, people say whats the point? but i think we should celebrate it with pride, we celebrate saint patricksday and we're english, so why don't we show the same pride for our own saint?

I don't celebrate st patricks day and don't know any englishman that does.. do some of you celebrate it and not st georges. seriously? I would find that suprising

i don't personally but i know people that do, its just a good excuse for getting hammered for some people, but i think any the irish should celebrate it

Other countries more than likely do not have much to celebrate about
