The Amazing Mrs. Pritchard

I am 'amazed' that no one has mentioned this wonderful series yet, starring the multi-talented Jane Horrocks. !

About a dynamic manager of a Supermarket who is very quickly elected to Prime Minister due to her good old northern common sense. Has even moved the seat of government to Bradford, and employed mostly women to guide her on her way. Deals with issues in a no nonsence, straightforward way integrated with her family problems . 'course what all we women know anyway if we were running the country :D

Cyfr, you just gotta' watch this !!

never seen it but sounds like plenty of other past political drama's involving straight talkin common sense northerners elevated to high political office by "takin bull by t'horns" and sorting out "all t'problems"...Dennis Skinner is a good example but his kind do not end up as prime minister.
