Spirraling Costs

Does anyone else have this unwanted, wallet harming, problem or is it confined to this house? What seems a simple repair or servicing job spirrals out of control. The other week a new timer on the boiler evolved into a new circuit board & extras, direct from manufacturers. An increase in costs of £150.This week a simple ballcock & fittings replacement job in the toilet has,due to wear & tear, turned into a new bathroom suite.I'm dreading a fuse blowing in a plug,it may end up the house needing re wiring!!:( :(

Re: Spirraling Costs

A few weeks ago within the space of a few days my motor in my washer burned out. Replacement motor, time and labour meant was cheaper to buy a new washer. My gas fire was condemned and then my digital camera decided it was no longer going to work.

They say it comes in 3's.
