The sad thing is that these bollards are clearly signposted, as is the fact that it is a bus only route. Drivers who are unable to read and obey these instructions deserve what they get and are unfit to be driving in the first place..:D

When these idiots are caught, they should have their mugshot placed on the front page af the Manchester Evening News, with the banner headline, "Dozy Tw*t!"

Just been down there now, doing a spot of shopping. Nobody actually went over the bollards, but there were still plenty of cars driving right up to them, then stopping while the drivers sat there, looking mystified. This, despite the large illuminated signs saying no entry except for buses and authorised vehicles!

Of course, it had to happen...the Department of Transport has now written to local councils to advise them that it might not be a good idea to use these devices because of the risk of injury to car drivers and their passengers. In the four years before these posts were fitted, there were 50 injuries and one death caused to innocent pedestrians by vehicles driving up this street in contravention of these signs. Since they have been fitted, there have been none. But it seems that the well-being of half-witted motorists is more important to the DOT. :(

all for the bad n nowt for the good..:mad: ...seems to me that the more you break the law the better thought of you become
