apparently a school girl feels like a lepper at school because she is pregnant

dont wanna sound cruel but if she thinks its hard been pregnant i wonder what she will make of having to look after a baby

only got her self to blame if you ask me :rolleyes:

She certainly has my sympathies, both with the school and the forthcoming post natal ones, children can be very cruel and are easily led, at the end of the day she is left with the problem, what about the father?

This is most unusual. From my understanding, half of all fourth-form girls are now at any one time pregnant. So what is so different about this kid?

I bet she will feel even more of a leper now its become public knowledge, i wonder how many more parents will be telling their kids at that school to stay away from her now.

I see that the the mother was in the picture with her and not the boyfriend!! all the school are doing are trying to 'save' themselves, in case she hurts herself, its her fault she pregnant not the school!

I haven't read the telegraph tonight but maybe this is not a bad thing. If the other girls at her school see the way she is treated, it may act as a deterrent to them. The only way to reduce these teenage pregnancies is for parents to educate their children honestly about sex... The school is not responsible for this (unless she conceived in school:D ) There needs to be a degree of stigma... I never thought that I would actually say that but after our government's social experiments of giving them everything, our teenage pregnancy rate only seems to be increasing.

It may be that it is the girl and her parents who are left holding the baby but it is not the schools or the government's fault.....It's theirs and theirs alone. At least, these days, there are paternity tests which are accurate so that the male can take some of the flack. Hopefully, this girl and her family will learn their lesson and not let this happen again, to her or a sister.

Unfortunately it's not. It is the State that ends up holding the baby and footing the bill. Tax payers like you and me will end up bailing out this little madam!
Society is becoming more and more like watching an episode of Channel 4's comedy series, "Shameless"!

Where did the other person in this sorry incedent run off to? If the state (ie us) pay for her and the baby then the chances are the father will be happy to draw benifits so that he dosnt have to pay money for this poor baby and he can go and sire some more. Its part of life that you have to take responsibility for their actions and the school can only do so much. The irony is that some of the girls handing out the hard time might be a tad jealous and therefore making her life hard.

Apparently, according to the 'Telegraph'.....the pregnancy is the result of a 'long term relationship'...c'mon, she is 16 and the father of the baby is 17......what is the definition of 'long term'????
