Ok so the past few days Met.check have been warning against gale force winds and torrential rain storms.........

Today on the weather it said likely to cause structural damage and Power cuts.

Me is wondering how true it is??

The wind is picking up outside now!!

I'm hoping for the power cuts because I'm working tomoz......and obviously if power goes off.....no alarm clock......no alarm clock = Lie in :D:D

Just been up in my bedroom and the wind blowing hard im just praying now that the garage will stay standing! About 5 years ago an architect said he didnt expect the garage to last the winter - its still standing now. My dad and brother built the garage roundabout 26 (maybe longer) years ago! All because he bought a new(ish) car and it wouldnt fit in the garage so he rebuilt it.

60 mile an hour gusts and horizontal rain up here this morning.
Walked out to get my lift towork and I might as well have been on a North Sea oil rig.

I love watching the ducks bob up and down on the lodge when it is windy .. doesn't seem to ruffle their feathers very much though.

Can't see them this morning ... think hiding up a corner. The moorhens still braving it .. swimming into the wind too ! Not exactly a straight path though .. looks like they bin on the booze all night, probably raided the drips in the bottom of me blue bin.. :)

Naughty woofers leave their yakky pressies usually on the front grass verge just to pee everyone off - so my garden erm jungle wont have the desired effect i'll no doubt have naughty chavs using it as a thoroughfare cut thro:rolleyes: :(

LOL as long as i've been with the council they have never done fences for one excuse or another but best is that they dont compensate u if u move & leave them tho:( so they wonder why people dont bother

Well, about twenty ducks have just flown in (perhaps they bin to visit Garinda) ... they look really bad-tempered though, busy peevishly pecking at each other. Seems wind disturbs us all and we cannot concentrate on things properly i.e. students never do as well in class when it is windy outside.

Mmmmm.. think we might get some crazy threads today then .. :D

The two large ducks have now decided to sit on me lawn and shelter under one of me bushes... sensible.

Just googled an article whereby it states that 1 in 10 ducks are homosexual and duck rape common !! Better keep me eye on this lot then :eek:

Well if thats your idea of fun then fair does. Me Plan on going home from work stick a washing on and provided I have not been spotted bt the hoolies the a couple of hours on the couch. Oh better check to see what wind damage we have in the bin area first.

well this morn it was just plant pots and soil everywhere , now ive got 3 fence panels down and its still getting stronger . At this rate will be going to sleep looking at the sky lol!!!

Seeing as they are digging up the tram lines we had to find a gap that we could drive over to get the car on the prom :D . Tried to open the car door but the wind was that strong it was impossible. Seen a slight RTA, car drove straight into the back of another one, both almost brand new cars. One was foreighn plated, the other English. It was the English mans fault as well .:eek:
Some of the illuminations had been blown down. Overall a good ride out.

It can be quite good down there in this weather esp if tides in and its blowing right over the road,lol!!!! not good for prom walkers but fun to watch, jim and i was only on about it this morn and if i didnt have a bad cold i might have risked it

At the top of our stairs is a stained glass window leading into the loft. it looks like something has fallen across it on the inside ... I darent look ....It may be just be insulation or something coz its not broke the glass......:eek:

Well, glad you enjoyed all that jimmi5 ... sure there was a warning not to drive unless absolutely necessary. I have had to drive in all types of weather with my job, but never considered high winds and rain any sort of fun whilst driving.

Still rather windy out there & hasnt stopped peeing it down, i ended up with a rather big swimming pool at the side as my drain blocked up - so looks like dyno rod is on call some point this week - luck the wind blew the pool downwards so drained into the grass for now till the washer/bath is used.

Its supposed to be like this all week:eek:

LOL yeh i think mine are just about holding their own unlike the drain istelf lol, least u will have a nice waterfall off the guttering then LOL - oooh brought back a memory there, used to love watching the waterfalls off sloping trrace blocks to houses on gable ends with faulty/blocked guttering when it rained hard or running under neath them getting soaked it didnt half gush lol :D

Looked out about 10mins before i was going out no rain but windy. Puts fleece on and opens the door steps out locks the door and halfway up my drive the rain comes down absolutely sopping wet through by the time i got to the pub. Still chucking it down when we all piled into the minibus. When we were all coming back though it had stopped raining just but still windy. When came out of the pub it was windy as anything but not raining.

By the way the garage is still standing!!!

the wind has snapped my panel fencing,last yr the wind blew my felt off my shed (now glued down)we must be high up and getting the brunt of it,wind today has slowed down abit,but i will wait to see how bad its gonna get over the week,bring on the snow i cant wait blimin wind

Well the Wind is back tonight!!!

Just opened the back door and it nearly snapped my bloody arm off.

I have a very dodgy tree at the side of my house that leans my way!!!!


I really really really hope it holds on in there or my house is gonna be squashed because the wind is blowing it this way :eek: :eek:
