Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
Inmate wants festive hats banned
A prisoner is calling for a ban on prison officers wearing festive hats at Christmas. Jamie Chapman said that officers in Father Christmas-style headgear "rubbed salt in the wounds" for inmates missing relatives over the festive season. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/c...re/6166587.stm  |
Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
Well all I can say to that is....
TOUGH. should have thought of that when doing the crime he was sent down for!!! |
Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
If he hadnt got banged up in the first place he wouldnt have had to put up with it. Sounds like a nice punishment for them. :D

Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
simple answer tough !!!!!!! dont do the crime if ya cant do or handle the time!! tough sh7t on them is what i say !!!
What about those families that have had their loved ones taken away from them or those that these dispicable people have harmed & no doubt ruin many of xmas for them!! |
Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
Unbelievable!!And does this upstanding pillar of society not think that the prison staff who are keeping an eye on his ilk might be missing their families too?Should have kept his nose clean in the first place.

Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
I considered getting the hanky out but that lasted less than a 1/4 of a nano second. Mels right about prison officers having to miss their families because of the dregs of society. Me I wouldnt even let these lags think about crimbo.

Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
What annoys me more than anything about this story is the quote from the HMP "spokeswoman" saying that the prison service recognised that the festive season could be difficult for inmates and efforts were made to minimise distress.
Why shouldn't it be difficult for the sods and why should any effort at all be made to minimise their distress? That little statement shows all too well just where the authorities' sympathies lie. |
Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
That's it, in a nutshell Wynonie. My house was burgled not long after my husband died. I know what stress feels like and I'm all for burglers, muggers, thieves and all the rest being as stressed as possible. A hundred years ago we gave them hard labour. Now we give them a rest-cure.

Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
The authorities are looking for a nice quiet festive period so they will cow down till their moans.

Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
Where has your crumb of human kindness dissapeared to, surely these poor unfortunate wretches need some comfort in their incarceration, after all they did not commit these 'crimes' to have the mickey taken out of them, it was nothing 'personal', happy christmass.

Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
I think they should also wear flashing badges with Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year!
|
Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
How silly. Why shouldnt the prison officers have a bit of the festive spirit whilst they are stuck there guarding these criminals? Giving in to the whims of the prisoners is rubbing salt in the wounds of the law abiding prison workers who are apart from their families at Christmas.

Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
They should trim their cells up like this, and pipe in Cliff Richard's 'Mistletoe and Wine' 24/7.:D
Merry Christmas scumbags.:D http://homepage.ntlworld.com/duncan....ayre%20012.JPG |

Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
The vast majority of people in the country think this way. However, our politicians refuse to take action on this. I keep asking for Greg Pope to come on here and explain why his government won't adopt a genuinely tough stance on law and order, but, of course, he won't because he knows how hopelessly at odds he would appear with his constituents. Not that I would expect anything better from matey Dave "hug a hoodie" Cameron.

Don't the vast majority of people in this country think differently to polticians anyway. The vast majority probably only vote based on the colour of a rosette. |

Sadley the human rights act forbids this kind of torture so how about writing replies to kids Christmas letters to Santa. Now that would rub salt into the wounds but could not be challenged as its a form of community service. :p :D :banjump: Bannana gets reply to Christmas letter. :) |
Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
While they're booking Cliff for a Christmas concert or two they could get Noel Edmonds to go in and visit each cell with a small pressie on Christmas morning and then televise the visits to entertain the rest of us.
"Now here's poor Slasher McGrannie who's stuck in Strangeways over Christmas for stabbing his elderly neighbour with a kitchen knife. Let's see what Santa brought you Slasher. Oh look, it's a Monopoly game. Go straight to Jail, do not pass go, Do not collect £200. Ooops sorry Slasher, you already did collect £200 when you stabbed the old dear and that's why you're in here, isn't it?" |
Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
I get the impression that this whole PC bit for prisoners is irking you a tad Willow. ;)

Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
Whatever makes you think that? ;)

Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
They won't have to miss too many Christmas's. Labours revolving door policy has sorted that out.
Who brought in the Human Rights Act? .......................... Labour. |

Re: Another One For The PC Brigade To Work On !!
Adding on to this theme, it appears that the Prison officers are all up in arms at the treatment that the lags will be getting over the holidays presants, toffees, crisps and three three course meals, Christmas Day Boxing Day and New Years Day. One warder said that they will expect us to bring them breakfast in bed and tuck them in at bed time next. I bet some pensioners wouldn't mind that treatment at Christmas, all at tax payers expence, and whats more they would be more deserving

I think you need to consider more carefully what is being written and look elsewhere to see what is behind the story. I am not saying they are false but they are often innacurate. I have no idea about this story, it's just a general observation about your continous cycle of ranting. |
