Bashing boozy Birds

Just watching a documentary on boozy birds in Britain on Beeb choice & gawd im in shock at how women are turning into men or aka ladettes, especially violent off booze which is scary - cant be doing with that in blokes nevermind girlies & they can be viscious!

Bouncers out there have a tough job!! Havent been into accy town centre for a while so is it happening here? Not wrong with having a good time & a good pish up but scary how it gets out of hand - or am i getting old now LOL

How the tides are turning fast its scary!

Ok let the hot debate begin!

I blame all that 'new age man' business in the late 90's,getting in touch with your feminine side & all that. While blokes were busy trying out their face care products the ladies were getting in touch with their masculine side. You have seen the future, and it's pretty bleak.

Maybe it is time that the government took the same stance with alcohol as they did with tobacco?

Ban drinking alcohol in all enclosed public places.

They should also ban all advertising of alcoholic drinks except at point of sale and then only inside the shop.

Thats easy, chuck a load of mud over them and start charging an entrance fee to watch, they will get that Pee'd off that they didn'yt think of it and will stop fighting each other.

:D

Yeh i would agree with u there JB the effects of alcohol is quite dangerous & worrying. Tho now targetting women is big business in the bar trade according to the programme, new bars are girlyfying their decor & style as well as brands of drink, nice to be catered for but they go on about binge drinking abuse tho yet encouraging it:confused:

How to find out if females are the fairer milder softer sex is easy stick a hunk in a room with them with liberal supplies of alcohol and watch the outcome. :p :D

Sad thing about it J.B. is a couple of years ago,our so called government was supposed to be doing something which was highlighted on the program, with the unfortunate name of A.H.R.S.E.Cant remember what it all stood for but the woman tried numerous times to get hold of somebody in Westminster to try and ask how it was doing. With obvious jokes about Tony Blair's A.H.R.S.E. but no one had seemed to have heard of it.But they showed a clip of Tony Blair talking about his A.H.R.S.E.:D

What would all the female celebs do if the banned booze for women when out at the weekend? They aint happy unless pished and in the scandel rags because of it. As for the mere mortals it makes them look hard and better at bevvying than the lads.

Tinkerbelle 11-12-2006 20:42

Re: Bashing boozy Birds

The thing that surprised me most was that apparently women become aggressive when they're pished up because the alcohol raises their testosterone levels, in some women to over 50% ....... That's incentive enough to give up boozing, I'd hate to wake up one morning with a beard!

Re: Bashing boozy Birds

It never ceased to amaze me that men would judge another man’s manliness by how much he could drink and now women seem to be going down that silly road. Being able to drink umpteen pints per evening doesn’t maketh the MAN.

“Drink that lad. It will make a man of you” is a phrase that rang in my very young ears. Or “don’t be so soft, get it down.”

I’ve had my moments on the alcohol trail – well serving in the Royal Navy I would have - but more than 20 years ago I wised up and saw what a stupid waste of time and money it was.

I would just ask the question, was that super night out all that good or was it the alcohol that made it SEEM good when in fact it was nothing of the sort.

WillowTheWhisp 12-12-2006 08:45

Re: Bashing boozy Birds

I used to work with someone who reckoned he'd only had a good night out if he couldn't remember a think about it. He died before he reached the age of 50.

I agree with you Mel, the ladettes are not a pretty sight.

SPUGGIE J 12-12-2006 12:41

Re: Bashing boozy Birds

I am proud of the fact I know my limit and can refuse to drink anymore after that reguardless of any amount of arm twisting and berating over it. I have seen what damage it does and the results of it amongst people I know. People who drink heavy in their youth suffer earlier to the extent that in their early 30's they are showing blood in the urine because of the pasteing their kidneys have taken. It isnt worth it especially amongst women.

I'm sorry but I have to say yes alcohol does make the night. I'm not an aggressive boozy bird and would be disgusted with myself if I hurt another person just because I'd had a skin full. When I go out I enjoy a beer, a cigarette and a giggle and alcohol helps me relax and enjoy the night. I'd hate nothing more than to be the only person out socialising and have to be the only one sober.

I've done that many a time - been the only one sober and standing at the end of the night. Next day is when it comes into its own - you are the one who hasnt got a hangover, not meeting huey and when you ring them up and say hey what about ***** and they cant remember a thing! I will be alcohol free over xmas again but ive been alcohol free for since end of august but it doesnt bother me. I will say this though alcohol does relax people and they do stuff they wouldnt normally do when they have to much.

Re: Bashing boozy Birds

I blame Alcho Pops.

Most women probably couldnt manage more than 3-4 pints until they start to slow down due to the bloatedness (SP)

But when you just drinking 5-6% Vimtos, that goes down like water the enevatable will happen.

Plus most women are Psyco's anyway. :p

entwisi 13-12-2006 11:29

Re: Bashing boozy Birds

But most decent ale is 5-6% anyway its just that we drink it in pints rather than girlie halves :D

cherokee 13-12-2006 13:16

Re: Bashing boozy Birds

think you get pished quicker on halves ..Me.... i drink pints but im just selfish and dont want the hubby having more than me lol !!!
