I dont know if any of you read the artical in the observer and telegraph regarding a man who was flashing at a group of college kids on there way to college, from his front window, for a period of time before his arrest.

This man has 50+ pervious offences.:mad:

What gets me is, even though he has these 50+ previous offences he lived on Limefield street, NEXT DOOR TO A PRIMARY SCHOOL.:mad:

And I believe according to the press he now lives in the St Leger Court area, which is STILL Near a School and STILL near the college.:mad:

For his crimes he has a 12 month probation order or supervision I think they called it.:mad:

Why o Why does the justice system not deal with these kind of people in a propper manner.

What gets me more is the fact the said individual is kind a known in the area, and I saw him only the other day at dinner walking without a care, near the college, town (When its full of kids) Surelly he should have a curfue or restraining order keeping him away from kids, students, places where kids will be a certain time (After school) ect.

But yeh u would think he wouldnt be in too much direct temptation of kids wouldnt u?? also the lack of dis-regard for childrens safety & welfare - yeh it stinks:mad:

Shouldn't the punnishment fit the crime? Perhaps we should just force this fellow to go without clothes for, say, a month, making sure that he is required to go out in public. By the end of that month, if he hadn't died of pneumonia (or embarassment), he'd probably be anxious to keep his clothes on.

Easiest way is to shove him in a room with a load of other flashers and leave them to it. They can be as cocky as they want all day then :)

Might work, though. We had a neighbor's child who was fascinated by matches and almost burned down our garage. His mom decided that, since he wanted to light matches, he would get his wish. A couple of hundred a day for a couple of weeks, under his mom's supervision. At the end of that time, he didn't want to light matches any more. Sometimes an overdose of the forbidden fruit can work wonders!

Some good suggestions.

However that doesnt stop him Re Offending as they are only suggestions.

What winds me up the most is the fact he can still approach children and I feel he is still a danger to children in MY LOCAL AREA.:mad:

I mean what would you do if you saw the said individual sitting on/next to a school fence, or lurking around at school closing times. (this is a serious point as I am sometime put in this possition)

Big deal he can no longer work with children, i mean WTF shouldnt they of done that when his earlier offences took place (seen as he had 50 previous)

There should be a NO NONCEnce attitude toward these types of individuals.

watched panarama few weeks back now and the legal sytem is a bag of poo,
they get let out of jail , put on probation and are told to sign in twice daily and as long as they turn up to sign in then as far as the POs are concerned theyre doing ok , apart from the fact that once signed in one guy were hanging around with teenagers again and luring em in , (on film ) not fictional for those who may think its a fallicy, so its hard to say just what can be done , its only us as parents etc that wish what can be done

35 weeks!!! This is exactly why I advocate flogging! If we obviously can't afford to keep him in prison, or a secure mental institute, then flogging would stop him, or a rearranged stocks, with a smaller centre hole, if you get my drift!

Thing is you would end up serving a longer period than what he got.

I hate the fact I know when he is released, I will see him walking aroung town especially at lunch time perving at all the sudents, then the school kids.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Will they let us know when he is out, NO.

Well if the rule of thumb is applied he'll be out after 18 weeks and then have to report to the Probation Service

Yep have to report to probation once. twice a week for a few hours.

Geez I would feel safe letting my child play out on her own or with friend with him living round the corner, probation will stop him from reoffending, like it has in the past.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

When I was a policeman, I locked up a bloke for flashing. He had many previous convictions, much like the man referred to in the original of this thread. When I charged him, I realised that it was his birthday, and he was 55(?) yrs old. I said to him, "You're 55. Don't you think you should pack this in?" he replied, " No, I think I'll stick it out for another year"

Unfortunately i know this man but didnt realise his history.
He comes into the tesco where i work and is a disgusting man.
He dosent seem to wash or change his clothes and left a nasty odour behind him when he left.
It dosent surprise me hearing what he has done and i agree with the people on here that the setences for these types of offences should be a lot stronger.
If he has comitted so many offences over the years i hardly think a 35 week sentence(if he serves that)will deter him.
Its time the goverment dealt with issues like this,why should our kids be at risk any longer from these perverts?

Now I know it says he had learning difficulties but that didnt stop him from coming up with a Prepaired Statement with a alibi saying he was at his brothers.

I would wager when hes out he will offend again.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

You're very probably right Mr D. I have known him all my life. He never had a 'social conscience'. I was one of his victims at the age of 10 my daughter was another of his victims when she was 5.
