Christmas spoilers, vandals.

I heard a sad story tonight. There are a couple of retired pensioners that are in there 70’s living at Russell place Gt Harwood and each year, like many other years they have modestly decorated the terraced house small front garden with a few Christmas lights.

They had done the same this year but come last Friday night someone had decided that it wasn’t a nice idea to decorate one’s front garden for the festive season so proceeded to damage and trash the pensioner’s efforts and as a result the said pensioners have decided to call it quits and not bother anymore.

They’ve had bother in the past with the odd bulb disappearing but nothing like this. They’ve even had xmas cards from other neighbours from further down the street thanking them for their efforts.

It is a shame really because it all adds to the charismas atmosphere and I’m sure that the young kids love it when ever they see things like this.

 Why do people do things like that? Mindless idiots. All they do is spoil things for other people.

I suppose it was just a moment of madness by these clowns and maybe one day when they grow up they may even have there own little displays to be vandalized.

I must admit though they had been risking it a bit because it’s only a small front garden, if you can call it a garden and you can with a little effort actually reach parts of their display but they’ve never had any real bother in the years past. It must have been rather upsetting to have found some of their efforts dragged out into the street.

I think the majority of people including the kids/ teens do actually appreciate what others have done and don’t touch but you always get the odd one and perhaps on this night the odd one/ ones happened to be passing by.

That's just awful that stuff like this happens. Maybe these folks boobt trap for any would be destroyers. Since Bear-traps may be a bit much how 'bout a large pit with "pointy sticks!":D

Must admit when we were young we'd (my little brother and sister) would go around the neighborhood at Christmas time and unscrew some of our neighbors lights and put em in their mailboxes. We thought it was grand fun plus didn't cause any damage just some simple chicanery!;)

Some of these louts are proberly so spoilt its no point them asking for owt at Crimbo as they proberly have it already. So because of a situ of their own making they take it out on those that gain from Crimbo. The courts should allow, if they are caught, the chance for these pensioners to trash the bedrooms of these less than 1/2 a 1/2 wits and see hoew they feel and ban an insurance claim on it.

Their bedrooms are probably trash anyway. These sort of idiots probably live in a tip like a pig sty. They have no respect for anything.
