i also agree with mancie that usually the people who have a genuine reason to be on benefits end up with a pittance while the scroungers get thousands
the same thing happened to my dad when he had his heart attack and lost his job
he ended up with a pittance while a single bloke with no kids or family we knew was claiming thousands for stress and still working cash in hand (subsiquently he was reported)

I hate the idea of paying for someone to sit on their arther week in week out when they are capable of work but cannot be bothered. Unfortunately the way the benifit system is set up some are better of unemployed than employed.
