Funny little noise

I could best describe it as a short, high pitched chirp. It's the sort of noise a battery operated something makes when it's trying to let you know the battery needs replacing.

It first started this afternoon and I thought it came from the settee. Em thought it came from my desk. I've searched the room and can't find anything it can be. There's nothing in this room which is battery operated as far as I know.

Then for hours all was quiet and I forgot about it.

Now I can hear it again but now it seems to be coming from the dining room!!:(

Chirp chirp chirp.

What the heck can it be?

Any suggestions?

I have already eliminated smoke alarms and mobile phones.

Do you have a chimney Willow? Could it be a bird?

Im sure it'll go away eventually if it isnt a bird, and if it is a bird im sure that will also go away, however you might then get a smell. :(

Typical, leave it to the man of the house to solve it:confused: :D

Yes, it was a fire alarm with a depleted battery.............stuck under a pile of junk in the corner of the room:rolleyes:

We actually suffer from too many fire alarms. (if thats possible) I have checked that all the rooms are covered so I can only think that this one was surplus to requirements but must have gained more life in its battery for some strange reason and started bleeping!

Women DO panic at times for the slightest reason :p

I actually LOOKED at alarms where alarms should be! That alarm WAS up in the dining room once until a MAN knocked it off! :p

We do not have piles of rubbish! :D We have groups of items yet to be sorted.

We aren't overrun with carbon monoxide alarms Spuggie but we do have the odd one.
