i have had quite a hectic day and to top it all i have had a sore throat for the last few days that seems to be getting worse as time goes on and in fact to a lot of peoples pleasure-im actually losing my voice:rolleyes: i blame the karaoke and walking through ossy in the pouring rain with no coat at 2 in the morning-but hey thats besides the point.

so im drifting to sleep about half hour ago when my mobile goes off (i always leave it on for emergencys) knowing who it is i hung up and left it off,so then my house phone rings,plodding down the stairs wondering what could of possibly happened to make someone ring me at this time of night,alas it was my lovely friend (lets call him Dave)-asking the ever important question that cant possibly wait till tommorow-
can i come round for a brew tommorow evening?

i reminded my friend that actually i have a baby and he often gets me up in the night and early morning-so why exactly is he ringing me?to which he replied ok il leave you to it-it being the natural thing i need called 'SLEEP'!
so i plods back up the stairs,throws myself back under the still warm covers when i hear the phone ringing again-so as not to wake the childerbeast i once more answer it to 'dave' saying-wait for it......



im sorry i woke you:mad: :mad: :mad:

tommorow 'Dave' will be getting a clip round the earhole,a baby to look after and a phone call at midnight.who needs friends hey?:confused:

And i gave my recommendation - ring him back tell him to ring yr mobile in 5 mins and go to bed and get him to sing you to sleep. That way its costing him money!! He wont do that again in a hurry!!!

i wish-only i have heard him sing before so id rather go to sleep with the noise of ten screeching violins (or chavs singing-according to Jen its bad lol) than listen to him!

Who says you have to listen to him - stick the mobile under your pillow or chuck it through your bedroom door just make sure you answer it.

Yes but she cant do that at the minute because she'd have to wake Jack up and take him with her and get dressed. Tis easier doing it my way and then kicking him when he comes round for that brew!!!

In that case I would ring him back and say " OMG OMG can you come to my house quickly - I am really upset about something" then when he turns up - drag him into the house kick him GONADS in, then kick him back out in the rain then say " the thing is, I was really upset you rang me at that time of night when I was asleep - DON'T DO IT AGAIN"

lol thanks for all your suggestions and yeah slinkys is the best although the wringing of the nappy sounds good-but id get someone else to do the wringing-eewww
and sorry lancsdave-i will change it to to......erm......fred?suits quite well cos my 'bruvva' is called fred-and he is VERY annoying!

Maybe you should have suggested to "Dave" that he should stop by a bakery and bring something good to go with the brew. Seems a fair exchange, a nice way to apologize and say thanks, and it also might allow you a few more much-needed minutes of sleep in the AM - provided, of course, that young Jack will also allow it!
