ACCY spotted on NZ TV !
 

I was watching Donal McIntyres' excellent doco about Wild Weather last night and up comes a story about apples 'raining' out of the sky in Accrington! Found that quite intrigeuing,not the raining apples lark, but the fact it was Accrington, home of the most famous little footy club in the world.I think the couple whos' property got showered was a Mr and Mrs Haythornewhite.Do they frequent this forum?Do they follow Stanley? Does anyone remember the event(not sure when it was)? Just curious.
Accrington not just famous for its footy team and a couple of Coro stars,but also it appears for its 'dodgy' weather.:)

John, I've seen this interview in the past and I seem to remember that Mr and Mrs Haythornthwaite live in Claremont Road, only a (hail)stone's throw from the Field of Dreams. Didn't recognise them, though, so sadly, they may well be unbelievers in the cause!

Yeah, I might drop in there on my way to the match tonight and tell 'em there's some bloke from NZ who says they've got to go. I'm sure they'll happily pop their coats on and come along with me! :)
