Re: New Lancashire Website

Hi Willow,

Thank's, I know about the domain and the listing on any Whois lookup, I do hope that a mod removes my personal details soon though. As a girl it's a bit concerning for obvious reasons.

Just been on Neal's Burnley site but can't find the post. Was hoping I could ID which member of mine it was (if it was one of mine) then I could have a discreet word with them regarding etiquette.

I hope you all understand that I am not being at all difficult - I just wanted to set the record straight, that's all :)

P.S. Hey, KIPAX - just realised who it was who posted my personal details - awww, thought you were one of the good guys ;)

I think Neal deleted them. :(

Your best bet if you want the mods here to do anything is send a PM because they may not see all posts - this site can be quite hectic at times.

Wonder if they will swop links?

Hi Neal,

I've just been pointed in the direction of this post and had to reply to clarify things.

I (personally) have no knowledge of an incident of spamming on this or any other site. That certainly isn't my style at all. And if you were to be fair, having visited my site quite often, you would probably also, maybe only privately, acknowledge that fact.

I did think your post on my site quite strange when you advertised in it but the post remains to this day, unless you decide to modify it yourself. At least now I understand why you placed it. It would be very tempting here to link to that post (as I said, not my style) and show this site the immediate, and very warm, welcome you received from me, despite the advertising.

All I am saying guys is that I do not condone spamming in any way, shape or form. If it happened it happened, and I apologise on behalf of my website, but it was not done with my blessing.

This is a great site BTW ;)

Suz x.

P.S. Please can a mod remove my personal details from this topic :(

Ok fair enough, I believed it was the site owner so I "returned the favour". The IP's are similar which raised suspicions. I've had it a lot recently and to be honest, you do get fed up of it when the people never come back and make one post to advertise.

The post was not meant to be nasty, would be interested to swop links though as I run a few community forums so could help us both out.

I've removed the surname from the post concerned. Please note that all your personal information is visible for the domain. If your concerned about privacy I would suggest using namecheap.com which includes free anonymous registrations, and the domain registration is cheap.

Hope that is to your satisfaction.

Hi Neal,

Many, many thanks, glad we're friends again :p

Let me know about the link, maybe if I start a new category and link to your website(s) ...even the 'brand new' Lancashire Online one?

Suz x.

P.S. Talk to your friends at the other local forums and see if they want a link placing?

Thanks for that. Lancashire Online was in the pipeline for a few years, first it was lancashireweb.co.uk, then it was going to be lancashire247.com and then I decided on lancashire-online.com. I then purchased the decent software for it last year and set it up a couple of days ago.

Running forums like this takes time and patience and having a lancashire portal to link to them all is my intention with Lancashire Online.

Hi Neal,

All sorted, a new category and board with four topics (read-only) linking to your websites :)

Hi Neal,

Have also posted an appeal to members regarding forum rules/etiquette at my site. Hopefully that should do the trick!

Ok thanks, can you add the link on lancashire-online.com in the Links Directory for your site and in the Link Section of burnley-pendle.co.uk
