just heard on the bee radio

3 rotweilers followed a young boy home and attcked him , his injuries are so bad to his face he is going to need plastic surgery and also his arms and legs have been severely mauled

his father was alerted by his screams and had to prise one of teh rotweilers jaws off his sons arm

not sure if this is local or not

how an owner can not realise he has 3 rotweilers missing i dont know

now i know we have already had a discussion about these type of dogs ( u know the child killers) and how its supposedly the owners fault for not bringing teh dogs up right but i have never heard of 3 chiwowas following a child home and savaging its arms , face and legs

I'm surprised all 3 dogs haven't been put down as they were part of the same pack. I'd be very worried about the remaining two now.

But its not in a little dogs nature to do that. If they are being cooped up they are going to get mad, little dogs included, but this is what is in these type of dogs genes to do.

WillowTheWhisp 17-01-2007 12:45

Re: just heard on the bee radio

Chiauas (sp?) might go as doo-lally but a kitchen would seem bigger to them in comparison and when/if they do bite they do less damage - BUT even if a dog is small if it bites it has not been properly trained/treated.

When i was younger doing a paper round, i had to deliver to some houses with dogs, there was a big collie, german shepard in the gardens - do u know what was the worst place to deliver to - even behind a shut door ........ was bloody yorkie terriers, now they are viscious little sh*ts the amount of times i've had the paper ripped from me thro letter box & fingers in teeth from them was unbeleiveable to one point i stopped delivering to them unless shut away from the door. My aunts have/had yorkie terriers the amount of times my toes was bit or snapping round my ankles mmm:rolleyes:

well i would rather a chiwowa go crazy on me than a rotweiler, at one time you could own a gun but because the occasional gun owner went nuts and killed somone they banned everyone from having guns so whats the difference from an occasional bad dog owner and an occasional bad gun owner ?

my ex's mum had those little yorki things and one bit me once so i booted it down the stairs but i doubt i coulda got away with it witha rotweiler :)

if a yorki humps your leg you kick it off

if a rotweiler humps your leg fake an orgasm and hope for the best

That's a very good point. I think that if it had been a smaller dog, then there would have been a lot less publicity (if any at all).

Horrible news.

My thoughs go out to the boy & his family and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Please lets not make this another Bash Dogs, Breeds thred.

There are many other things in this world that cause more harm and death to people than from dog attacks.

I mean in this case, Three Rottys, Why? was he a breeder? does the owner of the dogs have a clue about dogs or was he another hard man type.

chav1 17-01-2007 13:29

Re: just heard on the bee radio

not bashing dogs but some breeds shouldnt be used as house pets yet no matter how many children are killed or savaged peopel still defend the use of them as house pets

what i dont understand is why do people choose these types of dogs , if it is for security perposes then shouldnt the owner make sure it is as difficult for teh dog to get out as it is for the burgular to get in and if for companionship why wont a dog that isnt capable of doing these things be more appropiate or is it the same mentality as the man and his car making up for the size of his willy

People choose 'these types' of dogs because they want to, not all big dogs are nasty. some would be better suited with a big dog rather than a small dog.

Sue the owner then chuck him in a cage of hard starved rabid hounds to try his luck.

Re: just heard on the bee radio

Personally I can't stand Chihuahuas. I'd rather have a dog that looks like a dog not like a mouse. I can understand why people choose a dog which suits their personality. Not all owners of Rotties have killer dogs. It's the bad owner not the bad dog.

I'm not going to waffle on this subject again - just hope this little lad will be OK and these other two dogs are dealt with and hopefully the owner never has another.

Re: just heard on the bee radio

ok then back to my other point

a few gun owners go nuts and kill a few people and guns get banned in the uk , there are plenty of resposible gun owners but still the guns get banned

whats the difference between banning guns and banning these breeds of dogs the govenment had no problems executing thousands of sheep when foot and mouth was about so it cant be a case of not been able to get rid of them

dont wory ime not suggesting we have a massive cull of mutts but do you see my point ?

A Gun can be used to harm others ALL THE TIME if you get shot it will hurt badly ALWAYS, you can shoot a gun from a long way away and never be seen, you can harm as many people as you have bullets.

No comparason between a Gun and a Dog.

chav1 17-01-2007 15:33

Re: just heard on the bee radio

a resposible gun owner wont do that just like you claim a resposible dog owners pet wont kill a child

a dog can run off from its owner and the owner will not be able to keep up

come on were talkin about resposible owners of things here so why is it different that resposible gun owners got their guns taken away yet responsible dog owners dont suffer because of teh few irrisposible ones

no i dont want guns back but its a good example

True,

A strange cannot come in your house and set your dog on you.

He could come in your house take you gun and shoot you leave you property and shoot all you neighbours and the police who come to save you.

And if you are a responsable owner you can have a gun.

I think these dogs should be banned and I think the other 2 Rottis should be put down as well, why take the chance, regardless of any argument for the dogs, a childs life should always come first!

Banning a certain breed of dog will not stop the other breeds from biting people?

Lets ban Alchol, cause I bet thats caused more harm to Children & Adults than any dog breed.

I think all the dangerous breeds should either be banned or have to be muzzled, its damage limitation Mr D, the smaller breed whose jaws do not lock don't cause has much damage. As for the alcohol debate, yes it can be damaging if abused but subject for a different thread.

What justifies a dangerous breed? the List would be long if we are just targeting big dogs.

Banning - Will never Happen - Muzzeled, again this should be down to the owner, If they feel the dog may bite then in public a muzzel should be worn.

Which Breed has 'Jaws That Lock'?
