Traffic nightmare

Right so how teh heck am I getting home tonight!

M6 N shut over thelwall
M60 clockwise shut over barton bridge
M60 anticlockwise , 2 lanes shut at bredbury (plus all teh M6 N traffic is being directed that way)

looks like a journey through central Manchester awaits me..........

I'm just setting off, I may be some time.............................................. .......................

Busman is off to Manchester tonight with a coach trip - the organisers must be mad!

If it takes you that long Ian maybe you'll meet each other halfway! :D

well left uni to get train home today all train where canceled just lucky that i could catch a lift home but it did take over an hour as all of the centre of preston was closed at around 3pm :(:(

Re: Traffic nightmare

heh, I really don't know what happened there. I must have been a very good boy.

Through an extensive knowledge of country roads, a lot of forward planning and some extremely good luck it took me 1 hour 30 mins!!!

it was a very tortuous route I took but I seemed to be able to avoid the really bad bits. I think getting out an hour early made a massive difference though. I hate to think what time I'd got home if it had full on rush hour.

Yes, please .. that's when me alarm goes off .. although takes me longer to get out of bed .. Mind ya' it's gotta be good old sweet talk though .. no traffic reports...:D

How long it take you then, Junction 21, is it ? about 40 mins normally ?

Tell you what .. think now having just to go from Clayton to Ossie, (during school terms ..grrr) can take me longer than that and every week having to set off earlier .. takes me 8 mins in hols; average 35 mins. during term time.
Summat gotta be done
