History In The Attic
Yesterday the lady who bought my late mum's house, in Feniscowles, took a box to my eldest brother's. They had had to do some repairs to the water tank in the loft and found the box up there.
When he opened it he found dozens of drawings and paintings I had done at Paddock House, including one for an exam with the The Royal Drawing Society when I was 13 (can't remember a thing about it), and technical drawings he had done at night school in his first job. My parents had, obviously, kept them safely but we had no idea until now. The lady said there was another box up there, that they hadn't been able to get at, but they would before too long. I can't wait to find out what's in it. :) |
Re: History In The Attic
Thats really interesting, must admit I've kept all Ellie's art work (she's only 4) but I'm sure she'll find it good to look back on, your Mum must have been very proud of you.

Re: History In The Attic
I keep my daughters stuff as well but dont think my mum kept any of mine. There will be a lot of memories there to be cherished for the future.

Re: History In The Attic
That is really exciting and so kind of them to bring it around to you. I wouldn't be able to wait for the second box. Could be photos or family history.
Wonderful. |
