I am so stupid!

I really, really hate cooking but as 'im indoors is working at the moment and I'm sitting at home doing nothing I feel obliged to make the effort.

Last night's Shepherds' Pie earned me ten points and so I got a little clever today and decided to do something a little bit more adventurous.

Pork Chop Parcels!! Tin foil, pork chops, red and green peppers, garlic and onion all wrapped up and into the oven. Clever me!

Having done that and having an hour or so to spare I wandered down to the local for a couple of beers with my mates. We came home together and...............oh, my goodness!! The oven was on but my chops were still sitting, rather nicely, in their dish on the worktop!

I did get nine out of ten at the end even though he had to wait for an hour or so. I reckon he should have taken me out for dinner and I would have been spared the hassle!! It was Valentine's day after all!

Mine was on xmas day! I went out the back door over to my neighbours in the morning. Then walked it down Baxenden to my niece's to give her her xmas pressie and back again. Then my sister came and picked me up and i went down to her house. My brother turned up about an hour later and said Jen you havent locked your back door! No matter he has a back door key. My sis ended up running me back home to lock the back door. He said he thought i was over at my neighbours and thats why he didnt lock it! :D :D

Aw June how frustrating but at least they were lovely when they were cooked.

I remember coming home one evening from a long day at work and my late hubby (who finished early on Fridays) had the oven on and I asked him what he was cooking and he pointed to a foil wrapped joint on the work top and said "That leg of lamb." - which was when he realised it wasn't in the oven!
:D

OMG June...........lmao!!! sorry I thought this was really funny.......only because it is something I would do :D:D:D

I was once making mince and onions for tea......and when it came to draining the mince of water, in the sink......the pan slipped out of my hand and all the mince ended up falling in the sink :mad::mad: .... now anyone that knows me will know I wasn't blessed with a very good temper.

So yes the pan got thrown across the room, when Ginger told me to calm down it's fine.......he got told to go forth and multiply. We ended up having a Chinese take-away lol.

We all do stupid things sometimes, I've just burnt my currant t-cake, left it in the toaster whilst emptying the dryer, didn't realise till I smelt the smoke!
