that petotion against new road pricing

i signed teh petition and got a reply now that the petition is closed which is supposedly from tony blair

here is a quote from the reply which i got in my email box the same probably as everyone else who signed it

Quote:

But let me be clear straight away: we have not made any decision about national road pricing. Indeed we are simply not yet in a position to do so. We are, for now, working with some local authorities that are interested in establishing local schemes to help address local congestion problems. Pricing is not being forced on any area, but any schemes would teach us more about how road pricing would work and inform decisions on a national scheme. And funds raised from these local schemes will be used to improve transport in those areas.

so basicly the govenment wont bring in teh new scheme but gives teh councils the govenments full backing to bring in the scheme

if our council brings it in may i suggest every motorist votes against them at the following election after they do so reagardless of what party brings it in get the sods out

well done to tony blair for trying to shift the blame for teh vote looser onto the councils but its his baby and hes getting the blame as far as ime concerned

ps:

those who dont drive who think this dosnt effect them think about how much your taxi fares are going to jump up ;)

mind you if accrington brought in road pricing ot wouldnt make much because no ****** comes here because theres nothing to see

accringtons congestion problems are not caused by the number of cars anyway they are caused by bad planning , the whole sysytem was designed by a man who didnt even have a driving licence , i forget his name but he was booted out to blackburn i think it is where he made just as much of a balls up as he has accrington

We could always throw in a free pair of rose tinted specs as they cross the borders. ;)

To think he sent that so called answer to all those who signed. If Tony had sat down and penned the reply it wouldnt be as slippery. One of his gimps was proberly orded to get one ready when the petition started and the outcome was the drivel that appeared. Suprised there wasnt more magic roundabout in it.

it takes me 50 minutes to get from Lower Peover, 5 miles south of Knutsford to J7 M65, then it takes me 20-25 mins to get to ASDA.

Maybe everyone is heading for the Asda at the same time or they are trying to escape from Accy. ;) The road carryon down there is crazy but it might actually be a countrywide problem as the roads here are just as bad and there is a reluctance to spend money. For the ammount of money that motorists put in the coffers the best roads in Europe could be had.
