Stange when i went to Peel Park school many moons ago there were a lollypop lady morning & after school to make sure kids cross the road safely & slow the cars down on Alice street, hehehehehe she did a good job did Mrs Coo :D

So i take it the council have sacked a lollypop person on there nowadays - didnt notice one last year when i worked at the school:rolleyes:

No she is still going strong and at the same place she has always been IIRC.

Also A Lollypop man on the Traffic Lights on Burnley road, and one next to the spar also on Burnley road.

Nice lady is Mrs Coo, I used to go to school with her daughter.

I can't understand the logic of why they don't put safety measures outside of schools. You'd think it would be the most obvious place wouldn't you?

Doesn't make as much money as putting speed cameras on A roads.

Havent seen her in ages probably last was school lol, altho i saw Mrs Coo who was working behind bar at Peel Park Pub, way before its take over & refurb.

Just quizzed the little 'un on this as she is Peel Park and she knows nowt ! Mrs Coo is deffo still there manning the crossing and always has a smile and a friendly word for everyone.

Police told my other half this morning that witnesses said it was a green van with writing on it and the accident happened just after school yesterday.
