Top 10 Time Wasters
 

A survey of 10,000 people has revealed the worst offenders for keeping customers waiting is British Gas, often leaving callers on hold for an astonishing 45 minutes. Sky was identified as the second worst.

Others in the Top 10 are:

5. Royal Mail
6. Orange
7. HM Customs
8. NPower
9. Loyds TSB
10. O2

'Apparently', over a period of a month callers can spend more than an hour and a quarter on hold - or 15 hours a year! :eek:

I should really phone British Gas, my meter went funny the other day and instead of clocking up £15 credit that i put on at the post office it clocked up £42 :D :D :D
Now you see, if i did phone and tell them, how much would it cost me in waiting time .... hehehe

its more likely the woman at the shop put the amount in wrong which means teh gas as far as british gas are concerned is paid for

the shop looses out not you :D

ps:

go elswhere for a few weeks for your gas

No, still got receipt for the gas ... £15 paid, lol. It also showed as £15 credit when i put it in. I accidently knocked the card when i was taking it out and the meter went funny, lol.

What a surprise N power & sky, least BT is free call !!

United utilities another as is any benefits services :(

Worst one for being on hold the absolute longest is SKY, i've been on hold for longer than an 1hr :(

What I find worse than any of these is firms like Littlewoods for example who after going through all the speil about calls being recorded blah blah blah say "all our operators are busy please call back" and then promptly disconnect you.
Being in a queue I can handle to a point but just to be disconnected after listening to about 5 minutes of garbage just gets my goat :mad:

United Utilities they cut you off after 25 minutes and then you ring them again and get put on hold for another 25 minutes get cut off ...........after that i felt like giving up!!!

Royal Blackburn Hospital.

I rang them 2 weeks ago and asked to be put through the M.A.U after 13 minutes someone picked the phone up and it went dead. I had to ring back and was put on hold for 4 minutes :(:(
