Worlds biggest boy

Did anyone else watch the programme today called 'worlds biggest boy'?If so what did you think about the the way they were accusing his mum of giving him steroids etc?
If that British doctor was right about her doing it for publicity surely he was eating right out of her hand?

I saw it. The little boy, well not so little at sixteen stone and aged seven, was treated like a god in this poor area of Russia. They have a similar tale to our Robin Hood, but about giants, which brought him a great deal of attention.

I found the Scottish doctor quite stupid and patronising. He wondered if the family enjoyed the celebrity of being the heaviest boy in the world.

Hello?

It was quite clear the poverty they'd come from, and when he accused the mother of giving the child anabolic steroids, with no evidence at all, he showed his ignorance.

All the experts agreed that the little boy will probably sucumb to disease because of his size. Quite a sad story.

Yes, I thought the doctor was a bit stupid. He clearly went over there (uninvited from what I could tell) with a fixed idea in his mind that it was the mother's fault somehow. Despite everyone telling him otherwise he refused to accept that it could be some sort of freak of nature.

Whether it was something that she inflicted on him or whether it's an illness, it's still very sad as he's clearly very unhealthy and will probably suffer for it soon.

It's a good job this unforunate lad was not born during rationing, the poor kid would have suffered.

He did seem a naturally large child. His brother was a normal weight/size.

I think good is the wrong word-it was definately interesting but annoying too.
It wasn't what i was expecting-they didnt come to any proper conclusion (i hate that in pragrammes or books!), and it seemed to focus on the doctor accusing the boys mum rather than the boys lifestyle or medical side of things.
