Wicked Weather

The seasons in Tenerife appear to be changing. November has always been the rainy month, January and February, the coldest and March had the most winds. However, this winter has been very different and really noticable.

Hardly any rain in November. January was chilly but February was lovely. March started off the same until today. Winter seems to have landed with a bump. Torrential rain for twenty four hours, snow on the mountain, winds and now the thunder has started. It is set to last too, according to the forecast.

Global warming? I'm not sure I like it.

The world’s climate is changing and it is changing due to global warming.

Why is the contentious issue.

Some eminent scientists say it is due to global warming and qualify that by suggesting that it is human activity that is the cause by pointing to the increase in CO2 in the atmosphere.

Other eminent scientists agree that the world is getting warmer but disagree about the reason why.

However some people are in denial about global warming.

I guess we or rather you, because by the time the real effect is evident I either won’t care or won’t be here, will find out one way or the other in due course.

It may be happening and whether its manmade or not we are stuck with it. This little ball of rock we call home has been warming and cooling since it got an atmosphere and will continue to.
