Thugs Beat Pensioner.
 

Last Wednesday during the early evening, John Lewis, of Cheltenham Road, Blackburn, answered a knock on the door to be confronted by some men (described as in their early 20’s and of Asian appearance) saying that a ball had been kicked into his garden. Presumably John told them to go and get it, closed the door and went back to writing a letter to his daughter.

Then these thugs crept into his house burst through his living room door, one man grabbed him from behind and dragged him out of his chair, whilst another man punched him hard in the right eye and then the left, leaving him temporarily blinded by the assault and totally disorientated.

They demanded money and were told that there was some upstairs. The criminals took the money and searched the rest of the house before running off with £70.

A despicable act and the culprits deserve at least horse whipping.

And here’s me thinking that the Asian youth had a great deal of respect for their elders. Maybe it’s just their own?

Is it me or have the bulk of recently reported crimes been perpetrated by immigrants?

dont really think thats the case, its definately not just immigrants. whoever does things like this though does deserve horsewhipping.

Wire tender parts to an electric circuit and give the victim the switch to through as and when tey want and for as long as they want. It might be classed as torture but what happened to the pensioner will be torture on them.

It's a sad state of affairs but seems to be becoming all the more common to see pensioners attacked. Having said that, young people also get attacked. It isn't always immigrants doing the attacking, bearing in mind that a hell of a lot of young people of asian appearance were born here, caucasian people attack too.

The sad thing is that many of these people get away with it, they are either never caught or, they are caught and defended by some do gooder who plays on things like bad upbringing, mental illness, abuse, drugs, previous good character and a grillion other excuses until they get away with it...

It could be argued that our prison system teaches people how to be better criminals and the sentencing is paltry anyway. I think it will only be a matter of time before people start taking the law into their own hands for people who do these despicable acts.

I think its 20% of money gets spent on rehabilitation and 80% on punishment.. I seriously think PILES more money and effort needs to be put in rehabilitation.

Prison makes bad people worse. Sure they're off the streets while they're in there, and the victims get 'justice', but they tend to just get back up to old tricks once out.

funny cyfr, most of the people i know who went to prison, never went back, but got married, got a job and have worked ever since,granted a couple never did,but that is not most!! very enlightening are the views of people that aint been around the block a few times.:rolleyes:

No, it's not just immigrants. The big problem, no matter what the ethnic background, is drug use.

Case in point, in my local paper this week; a 14 year old boy from a "respectable" family robbed his neighbours. I court he said he needed money for his drug habit - "Weed and Es and stuff", he was reported as saying. We've also had a lot of muggings of elderly ladies in Warrington and they are all reported to be done by white men.

Actually my views are based on real people, perhaps i've been unfortunate, or maybe you have been fortunate, I don't know, but im not just making this view on statistics without having experienced it with my own eyes.

Its disgusting isn't it, it really makes me sick to hear this, lack of punishment in this country fuels these criminals, you dont hear of crimes like this in the UAE.

And on this side of the pond too ... In New York (I think) a mugger beat up a little old lady ... she was 101!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I'm getting old, but I am starting to believe very strongly that the way I was raised - to respect others, particularly those weaker - was the best. Nothing wrong with being a gentleman - not a toffee nose, but a real gentleman. Or maybe I'm just oldfashioned, thought I hope not.

Jambutty proberley feels that strongly about this issue as it could have been him as easily as any other pensioner. Its a bit like when we have a go at the ned criminals as we could suffer as well. What about all the outrage ove the damaged trees on Broadway we wernt happy were we and let it be known almost as if it was an attack on ourselves personally.

You can bet your sweet life that anon meant what s/he wrote WillowTheWhisp. This person is one nasty piece of work without any moral fibre whatsoever. S/he wouldn’t have dared to say it to my face. S/he prefers to go about like a sneak thief in the dark stabbing people in the back and running away.

Do one? Do one what? If you mean bringing the issue out into the open then that is my way.

I posted the details to let other members know that there is a thug masquerading as a decent person on this forum and I guess s/he has a friend who tags on as well.

The Karma points and that Rep Power thing are of no consequence to me. Vicious, nasty and spiteful anonymous comments are another matter.

Grow up for goodness sake, the karma comments and the person that gave them, do not matter at all, the fact that you can't act mature enough to ignore such things says far more about you when you bite every time, it shows you are just as petty in your own way, now, can we get out of your tiny little world and back to the subject in hand? Accyweb wasn't created so that you could be the only hard done to person, there are others waiting in line for their insults.:p
