Whats your limit?
 

I have to drag a friend off a bloke she likes when we go out cos she kisses him then seriously regrets it in the morning cos she is in her mid twenties and he is nineteen.
Since i was about 14 i vowed NEVER go out with guys younger than me-or even the same age.I like older men anyway ;) :D
So whats been your biggest age gaps in your relationships?and how old/young would you go?:confused:

My husband is considerably younger than me, 11 years, and age is completely and totally irrelevant - he's the grown up and I'm the kid in the relationship.

supposedly the best age thing for a bloke is ...half his age plus seven , so for a 40 yr old it would be 27 , (think its a chinese thing )

I was 18 when i met my ex,whom i was with for four years-he was 18 years older than me.The age difference didn't get to us until the 6 months-hence why it was the last six months lol

At the end of the day if you really love someone and them you then what the age difference is shouldn't matter. Its only when wary of the age difference and being somewhat ashamed of it that problems can occur. Better to enjoy what you have and not worry about age difference and what others say.

A few-i wont go into details as we both know some people on here personally,but our views on how parents should be was one that springs to mind (not the actually parenting) that sort of thing.

Anyone who knows me well enough knows that this is my gripe - does it fluffing matter as long as over age of consent ??? The big issue should be that its the people in the relationship that matters. Age is irrelevant & im with spuggie on his point totally:D

The problem is such people make difference an issue!! Age is only a number! :D

I used to find it hilarious when we saw his friends that hadnt seen him in a while and they said 'Blimey-didn't know you had a daughter!'
LOL-he took it as a compliment-it wasn't peoples views that split us up at all.

both paris n my late missus have been between 1 @2 years younger, but too be perfectly frank age would have never been a factor from my point of view, neither would looks (though both bonny lasses) to me its always the person,simple as.;)

Thats so true Dave!nah were okay with the parenting itself its things like he believes mums and dads should spend EVERY penny on the children and although alot of parents say they put there children first compared to him they don't-im sure his going to be asking Jack if its okay to go to the toilet soon lol
Im not being horrible-he really is the best dad but it can be OTT.

Thing is mixing the number of years living on the planet is a seperate issue to maturity & handling, oldest is not neccessarily wisest & youngest is not neccessarily childish, its matter of life experience u have learned in life or not.

Ask Tinks about my people watching & pub experiment of getting strangers to guess my age a few years back, u will be surprised peoples perceptions of not knowing your age but judging on way u are & poss look. A neighbour i 1st got chatting too one social street evening at my old house was the 1st to test my theory out...... he thought i was 38 years old & naturally assumed so - but at the time i was only 24!!!!!!!!! [cheeky get u would say] but on prompting why he thought that he said it was the way i was, the way i talked with life experience & act & yes looked :eek: the funniest was when i told him i was 24 OMG he died of shock then ran with full of opologies LOL, but by time i was 24 i experienced a lot of the nasties in life & crammed a big lesson on life ie its too short, actually didnt take it as insult was quite a compliment in a way. So thus started my game of guess my age to my amusement, the youngest i was told at 26 was that i was 19 but i think IMHO that he was very desperate to resort to flattery lol:D

So thus proves that age doesn't maketh the person you are its only the no of years on the planet u have lived so far:D

the best way to deal with an age difference problem is to lie

seriously most relationships end in the gutter after a few months anyway so lie your backside off and knock a few years off


if teh relationship works then tell teh truth , if they love you they will forgive you :D

ive never been with anyone more than 12 years older than me, not because i have a problem with age,just cos they tend not to have the same sense of humour as me, the youngest was 17(nearly 18);) and i was 29, i find the younger one's have a slight edge with staying power (but saying that when they get to 23 that just goes out the window) i dont have a problem with age at all, just dont like childish men( ok so most of them ARE childish whatever age) :D

Tend to go for older than me, but as I am now in the second half of my 30's that seems to be changing :rolleyes: ;)

As for relationships go, oldest was 19 years older and youngest, prob only few months :D

your only as old as the man that you feel and as im 30 this year and hes only just 28 that will do me only i didnt find it very funny when we wnt to morrisons at xmas and was asked if we were old enough to buy the alcohol we were buying for xmas!! the supervisor was called over coz neither of us had anything and she said well i think he might be old enough i didnt know wether to be miffed or chuffed!

And i wouldnt mind but we bought a bottle of champaign(not the cheap plonk) a bottle of jd a bottle of martini asti a bottle of vodka and a crate of stella and all the xmas food why would someone underage try to go in a supermarket and buy all that? fair enough if i was buying a bottle of cider!! lol
