Tonights programmes....

Was watching the programme about Ricky Tomlinson and the picket trials etc on BBC 1 earlier, then turned over to ITV when it finished and Marc Dutroux's sick doings are on-strange cos i have read both these books at the end of last year.
Anyone else watch(ing) either programme?
Both are very sad and heart-wrenching for different reasons.
I have both books still if anyone wants to borrow them.

The Ricky Tomlinson programme was a fascinating look at the politics of thirty years ago. He should have been given political prisoner status, and he should now be pardoned. It was a miscarriage of justice, and it also showed just how powerful and sly our government was/is.

I've always liked him as an actor, and now have even more respect for him as a man of principle.

Sue the arse off 'em Ricky.

The books obviously detailed everything but to watch some of the stuff that was filmed at the time was such a different experience-such as when Sabine Dardenne and Laetitia Delhez were rescued, how there familys reacted etc.
Very strange.
I didnt watch the Tomlinson story from the begining but what i did see was a guy who is determined to get the justice he deserves. Its shocking how people can hide vital evidence though.
Bit weird when the old guy wouldn't shake Rickys hand.
