Bit of a continuance of Mani's thread about why women can't control themselves/ female behaviour while out . An appeal judge has just ruled (along with two female associate justicies ) that a woman cannot cry rape and use the excuse that she was drunk when the event happened but other factors have to be considered

if you dont wanna get laid when drunk then the answer is simple

dont drink

its rape because i was drunk is on level with its not my fault the car crashed i was drunk

Difficult to comment on this thread steeljack, the defendant was described as of previous good character, but says nothing about the lady concerned, which I find disturbing. The fact that the judges did not order a retrial and quashed the conviction is grossly unfair to the lady concerned, as it makes her look the villain of the case.

What about when its found not to be rape and the poor guy is all over the papers yet she who cried wolf is protected by law from being named and shamed? Granted there are cases that are genuine but its tose under the influence that make it harder for the genuine victims to get justice.

I think it depends how drunk she is!!
if shes totally legless then the man should lay off because shes too 'out of it' if shes not that drunk and she says yes it means yes and if she says NO it means No!!

but there are some women out there who get ****ed and 'regret it' after and then cry rape...god knows why??

so fellas if a woman is too drunk dont go near!! cuz she aint a clue what she is doing! and to me that means you are desparate :p

I dont care how much you drink you can still make decisions. Ive been completely **** faced but i can still make choices. If a woman cries rape and is found out to be lying then i think she should be on the front page of the papers for the public to see what a little bi7ch she is.

Just a minute here, a woman that is so ratarsed that she can't make sense in her own head, can shout and scream after she sobers up and gets those 'guilty' feelings of I shouldn't have done that, and have a man prosecuted for rape.

Can the man not say in his defence, of course she was drunk but let's be honest your honour, I must have been in an even worse state of drunkeness or I wouldn't have touched her with yours never mind mine therefore I was in no fit condition to say no myself I am also a victim of too much alchohol?

Lets be honest anyone that gets into such a condition that they cannot control their own mind or body, male or female should consider medical help before they blame others for the situation they get themselves into.:(

Me too, but if I do get laid I look on it as a bonus not something to complain about afterwards, I always have enough sense to say yes if I want to and no if I don't, anyone that becomes incapable of making that choice because of drink shouldn't drink for their own safety.

I was always under the impression that a man who was 'legless' as you put it, would be severely limited in his ability to stand to attention.........and if anyone has ever tried shoving a marshmallow into a money box....well, you'll know what I mean.
Personally i have never ever been SO drunk that I haven't known what I was doing........Have I lead a sheltered life do you think?

And i too have never been 'that drunk'(and i have certainly not lived a sheltered life IMO),i think its all about knowing your limits.

The marshmallow, that is one from the typing pool Margaret:D, I sleep with a drunken woman on a regular basis as long as she keeps her imagination and to her side of the bed it's ok by me. How anyone could derive any satisfaction or expect to give the same to anyone stinking of drink, and probably Garlic is quite beyond me, yuck.

I think any woman has to be responsible for their actions drunk or not, I dont think its fair for them to cry rape just because they regret their actions, on the flip side I think men should also assess the situation, surely a man can tell if a women is too drunk and if in doubt dont do it. As for women who unfairly cry rape well I think they should be named and shamed and also charged.
The frightening thing though is there will be some low lifes who will now take advantage of someone drunk knowing they will get away with it!

Unless someone has their drinks spiked, which is a different issue, women should be responsible for their actions, drunk or not.

If anyone drinks too much you have to live with the consequences, regardless of gender.
