Any Interest on Culpeper Life thread?
 

Hey Guys,

I was kinda curious if this is something that may be of interest. Kinda a way of having you be part of "the Life of Brian!" I mean I get involved in some pretty cool/odd/different things that may interest and/or amuse Accywebbers!

Case in point, I sit here with a baby squirrel on my lap. It was a gift from one of the cats. So, this great squirrel hunter, stew maker, has lovely cared for this little guy with his eyes still closed for the past 5 days.

Now, if the interest is there, could I put the thread in here or into Community talk. Or maybe better yet, section for other non-Englanders to let us know what's going on in their lives around the world!

Coffee anyone?

It could be interesting as we can see how people in other places than the UK live/survive. Go foe it Brian and is there a recipe for squirral stew? ;)

Yes, I have me own recipe but would rather not give it out as "Peanut" is snuggled up under my shirt. Then again, maybe a 2 week old squirrel would make for a fine . . . ouch . . . just got a bit of a nibble there.:D

Alright then, I'm off to ride the fence line, keeping an eye out for savage Indians, and maybe I'll rassle me up a grizzly bear. I'm sure I'll have a story or two. Should all my stories be factual or can I "spin a yarn" as the good old boys around here do?

What??? So I like the idea of wild game food ie rabbit pidgeon, quail, pheasent, fresh wild trout etc. Becides If I get rid of the Grey Squirrals in stew then Tufty has a chance. :p

Brian, you live in Virginia (Jamestown, 400 years of British settlement etc.) not the sodding wild west , probably the most civilised State in the union . LOL
re. the 'savage' indians, I would be careful what you say about them when talking to Brits ........the subject once came up in conversation and I simply told the Americans present that we whilst you Americans killed your Indians we Brits trained ours .

Come on Jack, don't they all think we are all still part of the Wild West? Except for you Californians. You're still mining gold and fighting off the Mexicans . . . oh wait a minute . . . some things never change out there eh?

Now, to answer some questions before Flashy attempted to take over MY thread!:p He never did nibble me. He still is eyes closed with no teeth. Joshua took a pick on the digital camera but am afraid to ask again how to get them onto here. Took Willow hours of guidance to get the 4 picks of us onto Accyweb.

Anyhow, today was spent digging up stumps for a new trail to get my truck to the back yard without driving on the grass. Also prepared more raised beds. All the fruit trees are in full bloom and are looking quite beautiful. We have apples, peaches, pears, apricots, cherries, plums, nectarines, grapes, blackberries, blueberries.

Harvested our first asparagus and some kale from last year that made it through the winter.
