actually the ticket office used to be on the other side,under a larger covered area that that bloody rabbit hutch they have now, also 5 platforms with a direct line to manchester, wynonie is correct, its the "WORST" station inthe country for a town of our size. anyone who thinks accy station does not need improving is either blind or never seen it.;) the only real question is why has there been no consultation with local commuters n the like.

I remember when it was a proper station with the ticket office on the side where they are going to put it again. It had waiting rooms and covers over the platforms and loos and everything.

I think it's a good idea to move the facilities to the otherside of the track, that's always the busiest side.

Any improvements must be, well, an improvement.:)
