Just to let you all know that my mum Freda Pickavance will appear on the weakest link on Monday 16th April 2007 at 5.10pm on BBC2.

She posted shortly after they had filmed it, but was not sure when the programme would be aired.:Banane11:

Did you mean 'yep I'll be watching' or 'yep - it's that freda I knew'?

Whatever happened CASPER, your mum must have had some bottle to go on that obnoxious womans program, I hope she gave her as good she got.

Re: Freda on weakest link

Freda's got 'bottle' - was a battling shop steward at OXO - Anne Robinson will have 'met her match'.

Re: Freda on weakest link

Re Freda on the Weakest Link. After I was interviewed over the phone by the observer I was astounded to read certain remarks in their article. Qhote `She didn`t have the guts to admit on screen that she is now a Blackburn Rovers fan.` If I had been asked which team I supported I would have said Accrington Stanley and Blackburn Rovers. but I wasn`t asked. As far as I am aware there is no law against supporting two teams and I attend both grounds, and if the reporter had done any research she would have found my photograph along with my family in the observer cheering Stanley on at one of their home matches, and as for thinking I`m too clever - I suggest you watch the show on Monday and make your own minds up..Freda Pickavance.

Don't worry about it Freda, if that was the truth it would have been perfectly understandable :rofl38:

Re: Freda on weakest link

Newspapers are notoriously good at getting things wrong. When my daughter was in ICU they reported that she'd been kept in hospital overnight with a broken leg! Then they corrected it and said she was distressed at being in the same hospital where her Dad died. Goodness knows where they got that one from because he died in a different hospital!

Anyway, back to the plot. I will do my best to remember to watch this. Hope you did well Freda.

Re: Freda on weakest link

I’m with Vergin media (NTL) and I’ve just watched the program. For those of you who are also with NTL Virgin media then you too will be able to watch it.
Vergin media store popular programs that have taken place within the last few days and store them for about 7 days, in which time, you can view at your own leisure. You can even rewind/ fast forward and pause etc.

This is how to find the show;
Using your remote control, press the “TV Guide” button.
From the list on the left hand side, scroll down and select “Catch Up TV On Demand”, tis free.
From the four options presented to you, chose how you wish to find the program ‘I chose “All Days”’ and searched for the program. Then simply follow the instructions.

I bet you could even record the program on your VHS video recorder while watching.

Good luck.

:)

And for those of us not with Virgin Media? Will you be inviting us round for a viewing ;)
