yep.. I have one or two who would easily spoil a night out..you would only have to look at them the wrong way and they would be at you...needless to say I dont go out much with them now if at all...

if you read the book which is more a collection of short stories with the characters is an excellent read - it makes the film look absolute crap in comparison...the books much more graphic and more exciting & the title of the film comes from the fact the the drug users at the time used an old railway station in leith to hit up..
and the follow up book from that is called porno..basically picks up from where trainspotting ends..Sickboy is in London, comes back to Leith, opens a pub, decides he wants to make Adult Films, and proceeds.
Rentboy is in Amsterdam, Begbie in the nick (not for long), Spud still on the scene.
Its a fantastic read, basically just picks up from where Trainspotting leaves off - itd be alot easier to make into a film than trainspotting, cause theres more of a linear story to it - but ewan macgregor aint keen on working with welsh again...so doubt it would ever happen..

known a good few in me day, one guy who i worked n had a drink with, used to carry his (messenger) as he called it, this was the head off a coal hammer , in his coat pocket, used to slip his hand in his pocket, into his fist n one clout n they were well out of the game, you could never see it, n people used to remark what a hell of a punch he had, he was only about 9 stone, wet through, but not a guy to either look at wrongway, or insult.;)
