Fascinating. I can just imagine people on that planet debating if earth is big enough to sustain life.

They haven't actually said it's inhabited, just that it may be capable of supporting extraterrestrial life. If you want to go into Accrington and book your flight it will take 554,000 years to get there using the fastest manned spacecraft built.

If there are inhabitants, I wonder how we would get on with them....... considering that as a world, many of our countries don't get on with each other. How would the human race react to extraterrestrial beings?:)

It can't come too soon for me! Crop Circles, Flying Saucers, the next thing you know no peace as they take over Broadband interrupting every few minutes just to ask if we are happy with the way they have done a mind meld with your granny who died 40 years ago. Let's face it she was frightening then and now she knows all about the Universe, she is really scary.:(

...ah, but banning them just makes them angry. Where do you think Gondola's gone? Back home to get reinforcements!

The first visit to Planet X

You stand and look around. This place seems habitable, it has a blue sea and its sun is making the clear air warm and pleasant. This may be the place to start afresh.

Ah, you can see life-forms in the distance. You wonder if they are hostile. Oh, you're about to find out - they've spotted you and are moving towards you. You take a step backwards but the leader is advancing, fast, waving a sheet of paper. It opens its mouth and speaks,

" 'Scuse me, are you interested in buying a Time Share?"

;)

I can see Tony Blair welcoming them with open arms with plenty of promises waving a flag. Then when it gets out of hand text will be sent telling them to haul bahookie back home (non do) and blame the tories and the EU for it. :D

How can we not take him to our leader?

He's so cute, but will he want to inflict his own culture on us?

So is it best to kill him now?

i found another site with the news about this planet with a reply that entwisi will love :)

by Haohmaru on 4/24/07

orbits a red dwarf..."

I'll bet that would provide some amazing vistas.

by BigManOnCampus on 4/24/07

It depends on the absorption lines in the atmosphere. If the atmosphere absorbs a lot of the red wavelengths, well, it might look very similar to our own vistas.

by sithlrd on 4/24/07

Vista sucks. No matter what planet it's installed on.

entwisi 26-04-2007 07:27

:D, thanks Jen,

BTW VISTA does suck, big fat juicy ones!
